Konami of America Inc., announced that Silent Hill 3 will be available on PlayStation 2 computer entertainment system in 2003. The follow up to 2001's smash hit Silent Hill 2, this new installment adds yet another eerie chapter to the growing legacy of the Silent Hill franchise. Silent Hill 3 promises to take the survival/horror genre to new heights with the series' trademark stunning graphics, masterful use of sound, and mature, sophisticated storylines. Silent Hill 3 contains even deeper and darker secrets that are waiting to be uncovered. Fans and newcomers to the series will find their wits tested, as they grapple with clever puzzles, foreboding environments, and mysterious new characters. In addition, players will be able to use new weapons and items to battle grotesque creatures. Developed by the same team that created the first two critically acclaimed games, Silent Hill 3 promises to be the most horrifying game to date.
