A MINATURE BIOGRAPHY OF BLOODGOOD

? Few Christian metal bands came close to comparison with Bloodgood. Throughout the course of six albums, Bloodgood displayed a knack for creative song writing, hard-hitting lyrics, and stage theatrics that has yet to be imitated by any other Christian rock and roll outfit.

? Lead singer Les Carlsen?s experience as a cast member in the hit Broadway musical ?Hair!? prepared him for the emotive and passionate vocal delivery he would deliver throughout Bloodgood?s six albums and years of rigorous touring.

? Bloodgood (1986) was the band?s debut record. Produced by Christian music legend Barrell Masfield, Bloodgood provided a powerful glimpse of what was to become a well-loved and respected Christian hard music band. Detonation (1987) featured eye-catching cover art work and included the Easter story told in two songs, ?Crucify? and ?The Messiah.? Detonation was the record that set Bloodgood apart in the burgeoning Christian metal scene of the mid-1980?s.

? Like other bands of the Christian metal genre, Bloodgood cared deeply for their fans, enduring threats of violence and harrowing tour experiences to be the self-tilted, ?metal missionaries? that they were.
