Silvertown Speedway is a 3/8 mile 8 degrees banked oval track clay surface. Our track was started in the year of the millennium (2000). We are located at the old fair grounds in Tisdale. We run Street Stock and Hobby Stock and every year we host an invitational meet. We have hosted the Edmonton Outlaw Sprint Cars for two years in a row.
We usually have around 20-25 club members, but always have cars coming from out of town to race at our track for the weekend. The racing in Tisdale has been a big hit, as we always have an outstanding crowd of people out to watch.
The track got started after Travis Deforest and one of his friends raced in Nipawin and Prince Albert, and fell in love with the sport. Travis decided that we should start a track in Tisdale. He put a lot of hard work into starting the track and had a lot of help from many other people. It takes a good crew of people to operate a race track and that we have.
We are always welcoming new comers to the sport that have sat in the stands before and all of a sudden build a car. In the years to come we hope to welcome many more. We would also like to thank all the people who support us and all the people who dedicate countless hours to keep our track running. Hats off to you!!!!!
From Silvertown Speedway have a safe and fun race season!!!!!!
