was founded in 1984. So far it has regularly got the first prizes in the dancing competitions of the Dobele Region. The group has participated in all the regional, district and Latvian folk dance festivals as well as in several international festivals:
- in the second People’s Art Festival of the USSR in 1987;
- in the second Folk Dance Festival “Sudmalinas” in Riga, 1996;
- in the International Folk Dance Festival in Aluksne, 1997.
Besides the group has given concerts not only in Latvia and its fellowship town – Joniski, Lithuania but also abroad:
- Bulgaria (Ruse), 1989;
- Sweden (Angelholm), 1994;
- Great Britain (Rophant), 1996.
At the moment the group is getting ready to the International Folk Dance Festival “Sudmaliòas” in Kuldiga (Latvia) in July and to the tour to Austrian Alps in August, 1999. It is preparing to the group’s
