Pictures of Canada

For a brief look at some of the great nation of Canada, I will display here several pictures of Canada, as I manage to get them on the web. Here "y'all" can have a visual reference of our great country.

Canada--A Map View

Here we see the nation of Canada, as displayed in all it's glory, as seen from a map. Note how the United States (your country) is colored green, denoting the lush, verdant vegetation and life that flourishes there. Canada, on the other hand, is a sickly pale yellow--appropriate especially because, due to the cold climate we get up here, nothing ever grows. Canada is a nation of eternal snow, a winter wonderland even in the warm summer months. It is especially interesting to note that the perpetual snows end right at the border with the USA. Note, too, how even Greenland is warmer and lusher than Canada.

The Canadian/American Border

Here we see that very border mentioned earlier. A vast glacial field of eternal ice marks the border of our nation of Canada with your nation of America. This ice never melts--not even in the summer, when temperatures sometimes soar to 1 degree Celsius (34 degrees Farenheit) on the Canadian side, yet are considerably warmer on the American. Scientists have studied this anomaly and as of yet have come up with no explanation. This perpetual icefield has come to be known throughout scientific circles as "the Canamerican Paradox".

Our Parliament Buildings

Here they are--the pride of the Canadian government... our Seat of Parliament. Yes, these are our Parliament buildings. Sure, they're no fancy-schmancy Congress building like you've got down in Washington D.C., but in our capital city of Ottawa you'll find nothing finer. It is here that our Prime Minister and the members of Parliament debate bills to govern our country, such as the controversial "Outhouses or Slop Pails Bill" and the heated issues over whether Canada should finally develop a paved road system. It is good to note the amount of tracks in the snow leading into and out of the Parliament buildings; such signs show that Canada's government is always busy and ready to work.
