Questions and Answers

Here are the answers to your questions.

  1. How/when did you get started in acting?
My father was the head of a church theater group when I was around 3 or 4. I watched him put skits and shows together at a very young age. When I was 4 he let me be part of a clown troupe. I've been performing since that time.

  2. Who has been the greatest influence on you?
I would have to say my mother has been the biggest influence on me. When it comes to "life" issues no one knows more than my mom. As far as performing is concerned, I'd have to go with Shirley MacLaine and Betty Lynn Buckley. I've been lucky enough to meet them both and their words of wisdom have always stuck with me.

  3. What other productions have you been in?
RENT is my first Broadway show as most people know. Before that I did A CHORUS LINE- Diana Morales; WEST SIDE STORY-Anita; HELLO DOLLY!- Dolly Levi Gallagher, and others.

  4. What's your favorite role in RENT? And why?
I can't say that I have a fav role. I love parts of certain parts of each role. Alexi's "Santa Fe" dance, Mrs. Cohen's " voice-mails", Mrs. Jefferson's "homeless lady", Maureen's " performance piece", and Mimi's "Goodbye Love".

  5. What's the most challenging role?
Mimi is the hardest to me. "Out Tonight" need I saw more??

  6. What's the hardest part of being a performer?
Believing in yourself regardless of what people say about your talent. Also, remembering to have a life outside of theater.

  7. The most rewarding?
Honestly,.....when someone stops you or writes you to tell you that you touched them w/ your work.

  8. What show would you be in if you could and what role?
Rebecca in RAGS, Ti Moune in ONCE ON THIS ISLAND.

  9. What is your favorite show to see?
I haven't seen many. I would love to see Jesus Christ Superstar when it comes out. And I wish I could have seen HAIR.
