nurses at the Hospital for
for Sick Children, in Toronto, Canada
On February 24, 2000, a Coroner's inquest jury - which makes findings of
facts only and cannot assign legal blame - found that Lisa's death was a
homicide. A police investigation is underway.
In spite of this, the hospital still does not accept any responsibility
for Lisa's death, and continues to employ the nurses. The nurses are on
indefinite paid leave, but the only reason they are not actively working
is because they have received so much publicity that no sane parent
would allow them take care of their children.
