Toxicity
Part II--Mine Taken

'The cells are to be either pure hell or salvation: separate chambers for opposite sexes. They must not mix for the breeding process: the steps used to create the perfect beings. The Master should have first pick of the captives for pleasure, and first pick of the captives to continue the Drako legacy.'
Lestat smiled as he observed the two rooms: the females were inside a pure black room with their electrified cells next to each others; the males were in a room next to each other in identical electrified cells however, unlike the girls steel walls, the walls were huge television screens. He strode into the females chamber and stroked his cape as he walked to each cell, studying the girls. Tanya, Mallory, Amber, and Mara...
Mara spat at Lestat, crawling to the opposite side of the cage. As he reached his hand in, Mara shrank from his touch. "Don't make me electrify the bars, Mara…I don't want to hurt you."
"Then keep the fuck away from me." She said desperately. Lestat sighed and pressed a button on the outside of her cell. Mara quickly moved to the center of the cage hearing the bars hum with the new surge of electricity running through them.
"Still not convinced?" he asked. "Then maybe I'll just forget to feed Amber for a few days. Perhaps then you will find me more… persuasive." With a look of utter despair Mara silently rose to her feet.
"What do you want?" she whispered.
"You," Lestat answered, dropping the bars from the cage. The other girls watched in absolute horror as Lestat led her out of the room.
Once in his private chamber, Lestat locked the door behind them. Mara stole away to a corner of the room, pressing herself against the wall. Swiftly, Lestat approached her. "Please…please, Lestat, don't do this to me, you can't! It's me, Mara, your friend, remember?"
"Oh yes Mara, I remember," Lestat sadly agreed. "How could I ever forget? You've haunted me for years with your smile, your laugh…" he paused as he brought a hand to her face, "And those eyes, those beautiful eyes that have tormented me since the day I first met you." Tears began to run down Mara's face as Lestat slowly led her to his bed. "For years I stayed silent, tearing myself to pieces because my best friend, my greatest confidence, Duke L’Orange, had the girl that I so desperately wanted, that I deserved. Well, no longer. I'm in charge now and I'll have you whether you like it or not." He threatened her, pushing her down on the bed. For the first time with Lestat since Puckworld, Mara began to sob freely.
"Please…please Lestat, you can't do this to me, I beg of you, you can't! I'll fight-I'll kill you first! I'll kill myself! Snap out of it Lestat; I'm your friend! We've known each other for so long; don't hurt me like this! You must be mistaken. You CAN'T have felt that way about me, you're crazy-it's-you must be sick… I can help you Lestat, just let me go and I'll find you a doctor who can…" Lestat clutched his stomach and closed his eyes as he strangely felt moved by Mara's plea. His pale brown eyes moistened.
"Please my sweet, don't cry. I won't hurt you; I could never hurt you. I love you too much…" he slid his arms around her, rubbing her back.
"Let…let me go." Mara trembled. Lestat pulled her a little closer moving one of his hands into her hair.
"You're so very beautiful." He murmured, stroking her hair as he ran his lips up and down her neck. "All I ever wanted was to make you happy." Sobs wracked Mara's body as Lestat kissed her neck over and over again. After a moment Lestat ran his tongue across that one spot on Mara's neck right by her jaw where she just loved to be kissed. Mara's knees buckled as she entered a state of euphoric shock. "I love you so much." Lestat said fervently, kissing Mara's lips. "You taste so sweet…" Lestat lowered Mara to the bed and ran a hand up and down her body. "Please don't cry my love; I'll be gentle."
Mara closed her eyes and whimpered, "No…please, please no…Duke, I love Duke…I need Duke. Please, don't take me away from him. Duke…" Finally, with tears on his boney cheek bones, Lestat stood up and yanked Mara off the bed.
"Forget Duke. I can make you happy."
"I love Duke! Not you!" Mara screamed urgently. The color rose to Lestat's face.
"I can MAKE you love me!" He screamed ferociously, throwing her against a wall. Mara sank to the ground curled up in a little ball feverishly working to break away from her state of shock. "Oh my God, what have I done?!" He cried, running to Mara, "I'm so sorry, did I hurt you, my angel?" Mara quickly tripped him and sprang to her feet, kicking Lestat in the stomach. Her breathing quickly righted itself as she regained her normal mental state.
"I'm not your angel, I'm Duke's." she yelled, running to the door.
"Guards!" Lestat barked. Instantly, five guards appeared and took hold of Mara who wriggled and clawed like a wildcat. Lestat stood up, composing himself. "Escort Mistress Jade back to her cell. Farewell Mara," he said coolly, running a hand under her beak. "I hope to see you again very soon." Lestat closed the door behind the guards and walked to his bed, just barely able to discern Mara's last words: "I'll rot in hell before you ever touch me again!" Lestat smiled coldly.
"We shall see about that."
Jake sucked on his index finger as the electric bars burned him. "JESUS CHRIST!" he complained, shaking his hand in a mock attempt to rid the pain.
"No use, Jake. I think we're gonna be stuck here for awhile." Wild Wing said from the small, identical cage next to Jake.
"But we have to do something! You know we can't get on Lestat's bad side..."
"Jake, has it dawned on you that we already ARE on Lestat's bad side?" Nose Dive moaned from his cell which was on Jake's other side.
"I swear, I'm going to beat the shit out of him," Duke grunted, pulling his knees up to his chest as his tried to stifle a cough. "And unfortunately, you don't have the Mask do you Wing?"
"I had it on me but it showed up missing. Wouldn't suprise me if it were found here." Wild Wing muttered, looking at the grey steel below him.
"Hey, Wing, it's not your fault," Duke said comfortingly, extending a hand through the bars to pat Wild Wing's shoulder.
"I guess, I just-" Immediately, eight guards marched into the room. "-okay, who the fuck are you?"
"All rise and salut the great Lord Xander Simon Riviero."
"Simon?" Jake squeaked loudly. "His middle name is Simon? Christ! Why didn't anyone tell me I was married to one of the three chipmunks?!"
"Silence you," a guard demanded.
"Alvin, Simon, The-o-dore!" Jake sang at the top of his lungs. One of the guards poked a staff into Jake's cage. "Rape!" Jake yelled, yanking the staff out of the guards hands and pulling it into his cage. "Come near me and you'll get this stick straight up your ass." The guard approached Jake's cage and Jake hit the guard's head as hard as he could; the guard however grabbed the stick and yanked it away from Jake, hitting him three times until Jake lay heaving on the floor of his cell.
"What is this racket?!" Lestat boomed in Correllian, striding across the chamber.
"He was causing trouble, Lord Riviero," the guard said. "I needed to put him in place before he got the others to rebel and hurt themselves."
"You'd only succeed in hurting yourself," Duke interrupted. Lestat looked at Duke who crouched in his cage. Lestat tipped his head and immediately the bars to the cage were lowered, allowing the ducks to be loose. The guards walked to the side and back of the group, pushing them together.
"Follow me," Lestat said in a low monotone. "We have work to do."
"Work? What, you putting us in frickin' slave labor?" Nose Dive said as he shoved one of the guard's further away from him. "You know, I'd almost prefer that to sitting in a cell doing absolutely nothing, you fucking piece of shit."
"Temper, temper. Cool it or I'll have you rot in that cage until you die," Lestat said. He calmly opened a door and the guards shoved the five ducks in. Lestat picked up a clipboard from a table and sat down in a chair. "Strip."
"Excuse me?" Nose Dive asked startled.
"All of you. Strip. This is your physical." The ducks looked at each other nervously. Wild Wing took in a deep breath and cleared his throat.
"Why do we need to strip?"
"I need accurate height, weight, and ahem, measurements," Lestat explained slyly. Wild Wing took a step back.
"Measurments?! For what?!?!" Lestat rolled his eyes annoyed.
"Why would you care unless you're concerned you aren't adequate?" Lestat sneered.
"You shouldn't be one to talk," Nose Dive snarled snarled.
"I'll have you know I'm plentiful... and you should know," he said, looking back and forth between Nose Dive and Jake. Duke and Grin looked at Nose Dive and raised their eyebrows but Nose Dive ignored their glances.
"Drop it, Lestat."
"Lord Xander Simon Riviero."
"Drop it!" Nose Dive barked louder.
"Drop what, the fact that you grabbed my cock?" Nose Dive lunged at Lestat but two guards pulled him back. Lestat laughed cruelly as he rubbed his index finger and thumb over his pen. "Your temper got the best of you then, and it gets the best of you even now."
“You know that it was a stupid bet that I lost,” Nose Dive growled.
“Oh really,” Lestat rolled his eyes as he spoke sarcastically.
"Leave him alone," Jake injected fiercely.
"Why? I thought you wouldn't object to having several nude males surrounding you," Lestat taunted.
"Lestat, know that the second you get back to normal that I'm leaving you… for good," Jake said quietly.
"Jake, there was nothing between us, incase you didn't realize. It was just a random series of bad hookups. Now, all of you, drop them." Jake clenched his fists and stood defiantly. Slowly, Wild Wing moved to the front of the group.
"Please reconsider..."
"You're wasting my precious time," Lestat said, looking at his pocket watch. Nervously, Wild Wing looked back at the others.
"Seems like we have no choice," he said as he took his shirt off. Reluctantly, the others followed suit and waited patiently as Wild Wing stepped on the small table. Lestat walked around Wild Wing, marking his clipboard casually before pulling out a small measuring tape. "I don't believe I'm doing this," Wild Wing muttered.
"Impressive Wild Wing... 9 1/2 inches easily."
"Yeah, shame that you don't even make 1/3 my size," Wild Wing sneered, jumping off the table and grabbing his boxers. Lestat didn't look up from his notepad as he motioned for the next in line to step up. Grin reluctantly stood on the table and waited patiently as Lestat jotted down information.
"You certainly aren't in proportion," Lestat snarked, tapped his pen agitatedly. "How will I know if your performance is adequate?"
"I've never had a woman complain," Grin said darkly, stepping off of the table. Jake looked at Nose Dive and Duke and coward behind them. Duke pat him on the back reassuringly as Nose Dive reluctant stepped forward.
"Your genes don't nearly match that of your brother's, but you are in proportion," Lestat said confidently nodding his head.
"An inch doesn't make that much of a difference," Nose Dive said, clenching his fist.
"More like an inch and three quarters," Lestat said dully, not bothering to look up from his papers.
"Look who's counting," Nose Dive said, reaching his fist back to punch Lestat.
"Nose Dive, no," Duke pleaded, running to catch Nose Dive's hand. "Later... when we know how to get out." Reluctantly, Nose Dive dropped his hand and Duke stepped forward.
"7 1/2, perfect," Lestat said confidently, writing quickly at his notebook. Duke stepped away and pulled his boxers back on.
"Finally, something you beat me at, Dive... only a quarter inch," Duke tried to tease but only ended up sighing. Jake stood firmly, fully dressed, with his arms across his chest. Lestat smiled cruelly and closed his notebook.
"Don't worry, Jake. You'll never be adequate."
"I hope you rot in hell," Jake hissed venomously. Lestat waved his hand, brushing off Jake's threat and motioned for the ducks to follow him. They found themselves back at the original chambers that they were in before, and they were placed in their individual cells: Grin, Nose Dive, Jake, Duke, and Wild Wing. Lestat eyed them carefully and nodded his head before clearing his throat.
"I will be taking one of you with me tonight."
"What?!" the group cried with horror, imagining what Lestat was capable of. Lestat licked his lips and walked past the cells starting with Wild Wing then to Grin, then walking back until he came to Duke's. Duke's throat tightened and he closed his eyes trying to keep his anger in check when the voice next to him sounded.
"Take me."
Duke turned to Jake about to tell the boy not to sacrifice when he noticed Jake's pallid face. Duke felt his stomach flip as he turned around. He prayed that it wasn't what he thought it was.
Wild Wing was standing.
Lestat stroked his chin as he paced back and forth in front of Wild Wing's cell. Wild Wing took in a deep breath and forced himself to stare at Lestat. "Take me," he repeated.
"I'm surprised that you are volunteering. You're sacrificing yourself for your teammates, aren't you?" The other four ducks winced, knowing Lestat hit the target right on the mark. Wild Wing's posture didn't change.
"You said you were very impressed with me. Why not?" Lestat turned his back to Wild Wing and rubbed his fingers over his lips. The ducks crossed their fingers; it almost seemed as if Lestat had a taste of his old, regretful personality. Snapping his fingers on his left hand, the bars to Wild Wing's cell dropped to the floor.
"Alright," he said quietly. "Those who obey shall be treated with respect." Casting a look behind his shoulder, he mouthed "I'm sorry" to Jake. Out of the room, Nose Dive put his head in his hands.
"I don't believe what he did for us," he murmured downcast.
"He's evolving into even more of a true leader," Grin acknowledged. Nose Dive sighed.
"We didn't do anything to help him."
"Nose Dive, we couldn't do anything."
"No, we could have. I don't think any of us would have sacrificed ourselves for the rest of the team." The ducks were silent. Slowly, a small buzz began to sound through the room. The ducks trembled with fear waiting in anticipation when the walls lit up. Each wall was a television screen, and across every one was the same footage: Lestat and Wild Wing physically involved.
"Oh god, no," Nose Dive whispered horrified. "Not my brother; anyone but him!"
"He's a monster," Jake said glumly. "We need to get out of here."
"No way out," Grin said solemnly, closing his eyes as Wild Wing began to protest about Lestat's advances. Duke turned to look at Jake.
"Hey Jake, remember how you got out of Exar Drako's fortress?"
"Yeah, I had help from a flickie though," Jake answered.
"But you were always precise. You have Lestat's naturalness for escapes."
"What's your point?"
"Jake, I might have given you doubt about getting out of here before... but you might be the only one to do it," Duke said gravely. "I don't have the patience and temper with Mara in danger."
"And my lover being the psychopath makes this somewhat easier for me?!" Jake cried out. As Duke sighed, Jake cast another look at the screen. Wild Wing was cowering on the corner of the bed, shielding his face from Lestat who was beating him into submission. Jake closed his pale brown eyes and sighed before he drew imaginary lines on the floor of his cell. Duke closed his eyes and turned his back to Jake—true he seemed like he was one of their only chances of escape but was Jake a match for Lestat’s mastermind? Duke looked up at the wall as Nose Dive began to sob freely only to see Wild Wing crying in pain and Lestat pinning him down.
“I’ll have my revenge,” Duke thought darkly as the screens faded to black.
