One can only assume from all the negative posts that Royal Solaris is losing its appeal to vacationers. Apple Vacations has even dropped its rating on Royal Solaris. One thing vacationers seldom consider when booking a resort is the age of the property. Royal Solaris Cancun is over 17 years old and it shows. Royal Solaris is trying to compete with the newer and more modern properties in the vicinity and in my opinion are losing the battle.
Even with all this, Royal Solaris still attempts to lure people into buying their timeshares (Royal Solaris calls them "Club Memberships") at their new resort in Los Cabos. They'll try to sell you on how the Cabos contract is "different" than Cancun but rest assured, "different" doesn't necessarily mean "better". It's a Membership with a "different" twist on how to get your money. If you really want to spend up to $20K+ and buy one from Royal Solaris that's entirely up to you but be advised, there are several "resale" internet sites where 30 YEAR contracts can be bought for pennies on the dollar.
