This is the only class currently in service on HSH.

Similar to CSD class T669.0, now CD/ZSR class 770.

The use of numbers in the series T669.1xxx would suggest that these locomotives are similar to the Czech class T669.1 (now Class 771), but they were built as part of the Class T669.0 industrial and export series. Under the Czech numbering system they would have been numbered in the T669.05xx series, but they were given T669.1xxx series numbers in order to fit in with the Albanian numbering system which often refers to Czech-built locomotives by their last 4 digits (at the time of the delivery of these there were already class T435.05xx locomotives in Albania).

These locomotives, known in some countries as "Cmelaks", are also to be found in former Soviet Union Countries (Class CME3), Poland (Industrial Class S200), India (Industrial use): Bokaro Steel Plant (BSL 33-37) and Roukela Steel Plant (DEC 1201-1207), Iraq (Class DES3100), Syria (Class LDE1500) as well as the Czech and Slovak versions (Class 770). Some of the Czech locomotives have been sent second-hand to Guinea.

A total of 61 locomotives of this class were delivered to Albania over a period of over 20 years. A number of the older examples were in store by the early 1990's and it is possible that these were stored soon after the last deliveries arrived. Therefore it is unlikely at the entire fleet of 61 was ever operational at the same time, if they were this was for only a short period.
