"So begins the epic battle for cosmic dominance."
Adri and Starhawk, commentators
"I've been trying to come up with a name for 'the second battle'."
"There's a question--are these separate battles?"
"These are totally separate battles."
"Just so we're clear."
This, then, is "the first battle". "The first battle" is, of course, a shorthand term for "the epic battle for cosmic dominance", which is a connotation that no one can actually remember the origin of anymore. I think it had to do with the supposed deaths of Cassie and the girl, but for all I really remember it could have involved Cookie Monster wanting to be a swordfish captain.
Following is a list of "First Light" relationships or occurrences (actual or imagined) that seemed worthy of comment and/or mockery. In some cases, a response has led to reciprocation, but it's important to remember that this is not a forum for rational debate. There is absolutely nothing logical, serious, or particularly sane about these proceedings.

And this would appear to be "the second battle". "The second battle" is a shorthand term for "we don't know what the hell we're doing but it sure is a lot of fun". After reviewing the latter appellation, I'm sure you'll agree that the shorthand is necessary as a matter of convenience. I certainly think so, and since I'm the one who has to type it, it turns out that I get to decide.
What follows is quite the successful attempt to make light of everything else, namely "Final Days" and now apparently "First Year". Along the same lines as the first battle, the second battle is different only in that it refers to events further along an unspecified timeline and is capable of involving a wider range of characters. There is also the fact that it is, if possible, even more irreverent.

It's like the energizer bunny! Only less pink, since Fox Kids apparently couldn't decide what color Alyssa was supposed to be until halfway through the first season. We seem to be entering a "third battle" here, and if that has to be shorthand for something then it's probably "we're still not totally sure what we're talking about but that's never stopped us before".
Random commentary continues in the third battle, this time on the Wild Force and Time Force teams in the "Heartbeat" series. It is perhaps worth noting that our combined knowledge of "Time Force" is surpassed by the individual knowledge each of us has of "Space." Still, knowledge does not make an effective story, nor is it, as it turns out, a prerequisite for idle quips.
