All radio traffic was drowned out with static from 0001 to 0059 hours.

SFC Jess Hodges was leading, followed by several pack horses, the L-Tee was next, then the main body. On point was Sergeant Jenson known to everyone as Airborne. Everyone was tired and dragging butt, and Hodges had stressed the cavalry maxim Horse 1st/ saddle 2nd/ man third...

The A-Team leader had said it will come to you in a FLASH. In this case literally, as the small carefully folded paper fell out from behind the stiching of the 20th Special Forces Group Flash on his beret.

Krominoski read the paper found in the beret "Well I’ll be damned if he didn't tell me exactly what he meant. Most of the info was out of date, caches used up, safe houses compromised, except for two which still believed to be active Madam Willows was a House of Ill-Repute near Srem on the Warta River. A prewar arms trader for terrorists as well a white slaver with few redeeming qualities. Still she had had supplied and helped the Special Forces on numerous occasions because they had rescued her sister along with other political prisoners from the KGB  early in the war. Plus one contact Captain Horation Martens 12th Eng Bn / 8th Inf Div (M) near Poznan a Railway Logistics specialist (Enlisted Green Beanie during the Gulf War who had served with Captain Giles)

Sergeant Jensen Airborne signaled for the group to stop and then pitched back violently as several more shots rang out. Falling to the ground a large red stain started spreading very fast from his chest, soaking his BDU Shirt. Jesse pulled up sharply as Airborne tumbled from his saddle. The sound of gunfire is echoing across the area. He dropped from his horse with his carbine in hand."DISMOUNT!!! SNIPERS!!!" he shouted at the riders Jess quickly scans the area to his front fan looking for the shooters as he yells again.
"HORSE HOLDERS!! SECURE THE MOUNTS!!" indicating to the designated holders to take the horses. Besada and Brown quickly gather the mounts, Frug gave Brown a quick glance as he moved up with the others. SFC Hodges dropped his reins and moved forward in a running crouch, dropping besides Airborne."Hang in there bro, we're getting you out of here." He grabs Airbornes collar at the back of his neck and starts to back crawl with him to the nearest cover After Jess pulls Airborne to cover, he tries to administer first aid. <ooc:Sucking chest wounds suck>. As he is doing this he yells at the LT. "LT have Drake get the pig set up and try to suppress their fire. Have the bloopers put some rounds on the shooters if they can be spotted. Get in touch with Gray, see what his situation is.”

" LOKI to Jess ,LOKI to Jess ,over." ‘Go ahead’ " Sitrep lousy ,I belive there is more than 1 sniper. Don't worry about me I will find you. SCRAM , Over. " ‘I copy’ " LOKI ,out."
The hill lit up with explosions as 40mm grenades sprinkled the countryside while the M-60 chewed up some turf with its 7.62mm rounds. Jesse worked feverishly trying to save Airborne's life, even though he's wasn’t a medic.  "Come on, cooperate. Hang in there Bro!" Jessis continuiously talking to Airborne as he works on him and trys to direct the fire fight at the same time <NOT gonna happen>. Airborne died while Jess was working on him:“DAMN!! DAMN!! DAMN!!" Jess then gets into the fight directing fire on the snipers, trying to extract Grey from harms way.
I  lay awake looking at dirt & sky. I don't move while I figure out where I am & what happened. This takes about 2 second when the pain in my left arm & it's new friends remind me. Damned radio is jabbing in the side, it's earpiece is squishing the heck out of my ear ,& the throat mike is chocking me , & for some damned reason my head is killing me. I square away my radio, & place a call. " Sniper, sniper, Sniper on the hill ,out." I turn my radio off. I then noticed I was Bleeding badly from a wound through my head , I
know it could be terminal. Why am I still alive ?
Fudge what the hell caused this headache. I gently rub my head through my boonie hat , on the top of
the hat I feel a slight rip, HEH? I pull off my hat to find that the to is barely ripped about 3" long like something grazed my head. Shoot a bullet must of bounced off my thick skull , Damn I knew it was good
{OOC Keeping my body real low I look around & quickly form a plan. ( I'm in hex 1106, you said 200yds from sniper 0907, I chose 1106.) OK I have a 40 meter run give or take to get to those woods(1205) give or take a few feet. I look at Amber she has her back to me. Staying low ,I quickly remove my ruck sack from her back & try to remove my satchel but it's trapped underneath her. Oh well I Didn't need the extra Ammo slowing me down any way. I ready myself & my gear for a mad dash to the woods. Put my ruck on & I pop a smoke grenade, & toss it on the other side of the horse. Put my last one on my web gear front by it's ring. Buy now a small cloud has developed , I grab my rifle & roll to the side & then up. Dear God don't let my feet fail me now. I do my best impression of Jesse Owen's, with some defensive jinking & zig ,zag thrown in for good measure. About 25 yds. from the woods I pop my smoke grenade & let it fall to cover me. Once I'm in the woods in good cover I pause to catch my breath. I SLLS
( Stop, Look, Listen, & Smell ) for the enemy. Move out cautiously but with purpose if I detect no one, if I hear or see pursuers I move very quickly ,either way periodically SLLS. I make my way through these hexes 1205, the motorcycle rider I had seen earlier and for the moment forgot about due to more pressing matters like get shot was busy dealing with some more hostiles in the bombed out village (1208).

SSG Molestein had seen the advance scout get popped and thought for sure he was dead. To his amazement the guy was doing a record time 100 yard dash for cover. Good for him he though but I’ve got problems of my own. Observe them for a moment. Definately the village, he switched to full auto and let loose. Next he took out an HE grenade and wedged it under the bike with the handle depressed with the weight of the bike, conceal it with grass, then pull the pin. Trying to find the sniper, watch for targets of opportunity. Thinking to himself ,Shiite how do I keep getting myself into this crap.' As the fire slacks on him he  gathered his gear (ruck is already on,  and low crawled farther into the orchard. He will try and move toward the back edge of grove away from enemy that is closer to where he thought there were friendlies. Always trying to keep as much tree between him and the fire. If scout does happen to start seeing enemies he will keep the single shots going there way. He then rolled to the next tree and reload. Then he set up a Claymoore stringing out the detonator behind him as he moved even further back into cover. Some fire started coming back his way and he nearly lit up a Marine in a sniper suit who was bleeding all over.. Friendly maybe but they definitely had some of the same enemies.

"Already on it. Lets go Drake get on those houses." Runs over to Drake and helps him set up the pig.
"Engage targets of oppotunity, I am gonna try to get on the horn with Cpl Grey." "Grey this is Lt. What is your situation over" <no response>"We need to know what we are up against"<no response>"What is your situation"<no response>"How quickly do you need us up there"
OOC: Right now leave currently working on Airborne with Jones and move rest of force. Moving and covering in a half move half cover fashion.
If not to pressing then wait for "medic" to finish working on Airborne then move out to Grey's postion in
same fashion."Put some fire on those buildings !"Looking in scope for targets finding targets to engage
and fire at using 1-2 shots per target. Grey had got one sniper, half his head was blown away, the rest of the nest was empty but from the looks of it two others had relocated.

They took cover on the crest where the snipers had been and continued putting down fire on the beat up village that had a two guys pinned down in a grove of trees. They could see Grey’s dead horse and a motorcycle with a trashed front wheel. Krominoski corrected fire here and there and soon a bunch of Polish Marauders were flushed out and made a run for the orchard. Two stopped to check out the bike and got a load of grenade fragments for their trouble and the blast of a Claymore finished off the rest. Jesse brought the rest of the group forward and told everyone Sergeant Jensen was dead.
Move the party west and find cover, preferably a farm house with a roof.. unoccupied would be best, but...... any port in a storm. you found a large well stocked root cellar in 1405 (Village D) and held up for the night. Late that night from midnight to one in the morning the sky was alive with blue lightining to the north and Hodges could almost swear he had seen the outline of an eight legged horse if only for an instant.

Ammo expended NPC’s Grenade launchers all, M-60 all, assault rifles all except for what is on pack animals, PC’s 10%, remember not every shot and encounter gets listed.
