Waipi'o Valley is on the Big Island of Hawaii. It is a beautiful place, with high waterfalls and streams flowing into the ocean. There are not many people in Waipi'o Valley (about 80 live in Waipi'o, but there are often more), but more and more people are coming.
In Hawaiian times Waipi'o Valley was the capital of the island, with thousands of people filling the valley, but it is far from that now. All that is left from that time are a few stone walls and house sites.
