And so started, every week one of the best adventure series to come out of the '80's!

The '80's were a time of super vehicles, Streethawk, Airwolf, Blue Thunder and of course Knight Rider.

Michael Knight was an ex cop presumed dead after being shot in the pilot episode, only to emerge with a new face and new identity, and of course a new car, the all singing, all dancing KITT, which stood for Knight Industries Two Thousand. A powerful black Trans Am that looked just awesome!

Capable of speeds of over 200mph, almost invulnerable (only beaten twice I think, by Goliath, the monster lorry, and KARR the prototype of KITT). KITT could talk (featuring the voice of William Daniels, the teacher in 'Boy Meets World') had video screens and buttons everywhere, including of course the 'Turbo Boost' button, which enabled Michael and KITT to leap over objects, canyons, trucks, anything! It never seemed to fail him!

Aided by Devon Miles (Edward Mulhare) and either April (Rebecca Holden), or Bonnie (Patricia Macpherson) (depending which season you were watching) Michael on behalf of the 'Foundation For Law and Government' would stop the bad guys and look after the poor innocent victims.

There have been two poor attempts to resurrect the series, first there was the pilot film, KnightRider 2000, then Team Knightrider, both failed miserably, the movie had a new KITT, which was never going to work, and the series? Well, less said about that the better!
