The Stephen Miller family begins somewhere in Georgia at an unknown location.
Stephen Miller’s first wife was a Marton.
Stephen Miller and Marton had the following two children:
Benjamin (Ben) Miller born in 1853 in Georgia.
William Edward (Wid) Miller was born on November 17, 1856 in Georgia.
Sometime before the 1860 US Census in Dale County, Alabama, Stephen Miller and his two sons moved from Georgia to Dale County, Alabama. Marton, Stephen’s wife was not with them on the 1860 Census. By the 1870 Census Stephen Miller was married to a Lissie, her last name is unknown at this time.

One being that Lissie, Stephen Miller’s second wife was mean some how to Stephen Miller’s first two sons Benjamin and William. As a result, Benjamin and
William left home. This was passed down from both the Benjamin and William side of the families.
The other story was that Benjamin and William were to get either money or land when their father Stephen Miller died. Lissie Miller’s second husband, Romulus Benj, put an end to Benjamin and William getting anything from Stephen Miller’s estate. So Benjamin and William left home.
After leaving home Benjamin Miller ended up around Vernon in Washington County, Florida. On December 24, 1881 Benjamin Miller married Eliza Anderson. Eliza Anderson was the daughter of Willis Anderson and Elizabeth Simmons of Washington County, Florida. This information is on the 1880 US Census from Washington County, Florida.
