Babaloo WA State on Wed, Sep 27, 00 Hi everyone, I am Barbara and I started visiting KT about a month ago. I just turned 53 the end of August. My husband and I have been married for almost 32 years. It doesn't seem possible. We live in Spokane, Washington, and only have a cubby, lazy, kitty to keep us company. Her name is Sammy, and is loved by everyone that meets her. I have four grown children, and five grandchildren. WendyIA is my second oldest child, my oldest daughter. I am very blessed to have a good life with lots of family and friends that I love. I am addicted to quilting, and have been for the past 12 years. I teach classes, have been the chairman for the large quilt show here in Oct.(550+)quilts, I machine quilt customers quilts. Many have become good friend through the years. Twice a year I put on a quilt retreat at a church camp on Cour d' lene lake. It is great....25 fun ladies that come away for a long weekend and just sew, eat, laugh, and have a great time away from all the responsibilities of life. The camp cooks fix all our meals. The bell ring and we go eat, then return to our quilting...reminds me of camp when I was a kid, but we don't have anyone telling us what time lights are to be out. Oh, and you can imagine our table of treats that we bring to share!!! Sometimes we are out of control and need some supervision. I haven't been able to post much lately as I am trying to get ready for the coming up quilt show. I just wanted to drop in and say Hi!

Barbara in WY on Sat, Dec 16, 00 at 23:34 Hi there. Well, it seems that there are a lot of Barbara's but I am the one in Wyoming. I am 26. Married for four years. A going crazy SAHM to two beautiful little girls ages 2-1/2 and 9 mos. Born on the east coast, spent most of my life in IN, couple years in WA and now in WY for the last almost two years. Spent three years married to the military and am so glad my husband decided to get out. My husband is a hunter so we will probably never leave Wyoming. That is okay but I would really love to move out of town. I guess I'm kind of boring. I do have hobbies but haven't seen much of them in the last couple of years. I love to read christian fiction mostly. I am so glad I found the KT. I am very far from family and don't have many socializing friends so I get a bit lonely at times. Coming to the KT is my adult time. Thank you so much for being such a great group of people.

Beckbo on Fri, Jul 14, 00 at 15:55 Hi I'm Becky. I usually don't have much to say, but I love to visit! My DH and I moved to Orange Park, FL from LA (Lower Alabama) last October. He got a great job offer from my brother! We share our home with 2 miniature schnauzers and an oooooold cat who is queen of it all. We will celebrate our 2nd aniversary in September. No children together, but he has 2 sons (18 & 21) and a daughter (27) that pass thru every now and then. I am almost 43 and DH is almost 51 so we are making no plans to restructure our family :) I work from home as the Architectural Support for a door frame mfgr in AL after working 20 years in architectural firms as a tech. My free time is spent working out (hence the name Beckbo...from Rambo...just one of those things that stuck about 15 yrs ago), training dogs (I'd LOVE to do that full time!), digging in the yard, drawing, painting, cooking (and eating) and reading. I just wandered in here one day and was amazed at ALL the nice and decent people! A visit here is always sure to make me feel good!
becky-tx on Fri, Oct 6, 00 at 11:02 HI! I'm becky from Texas. Live in the city of Houston, and contrary to many, I like the city. Not the only becky here. Was born in Indiana, wandered the midwest my growing up years, finished high school in Kansas. Went back to school when my DD was in first grade, got my AAS in drafting/design technology at the local jr. college. Work as an electrical designer. Hang out here when it's slow at work, which it has been for a while. If I disappear, it will be because I got a REAL JOB. I've got a "real job" now, but it has become pretty much an issue of putting in my time, and I DON'T LIKE THAT. Have a DD & a DS, an SIL & a DIL. DD & SIL are parents to my two DGDs. One dgd is 3, the other is 1 month. I sew, but don't craft. My gardens consist of the flower beds around the perimeter of the house, with a couple around the base of trees. No pets, unless you count the DH. No kids at home. Love the quiet, don't watch TV, so never have a comment on TV shows.
Bee-OH Hi there! Nice to read about you all. I am 52, married 29 years and we have a 26 yr old DS who is married and lives 3.5 hours away. I work 4 days a week as a nurse case manager on a medical unit @ our local hospital. I enjoy my job, most of the time, but it can get stressful @ times. So, I'm looking forward to perhaps "semi-retiring in about 2 & half years. Then we're hoping to travel around the country! We've both lived in SE Ohio our entire lives. My pastimes are reading, quilting, auctions, plants, and of course the KT & internet!-Bee

Beth in MI I've been sitting here perched on the kitchen counter looking over everyones shoulder for a while now. I guess its high time that I introduce myself and pull up a chair like the rest of you. My name is Beth. I'm a 43 year old stay at home mom. (I love it!) I live in southeastern lower Michigan just north of Detroit. I've been married to a wonderful man for almost six years now and have two DD, 5 and 3. I enjoy reading, gardening, canning and crafting in a big way. That is how I found the KT-through the crafting forum. I tend to drop in here more than I should because I tie up the phone line and everyone complains that they can't get through, but I like reading about how everyone is doing. Like I said I'm a stay at home mom and sometimes I need a little adult conversation and humor (if you know what I mean) so the KT is the obvious place for me. LOL!

BettyeAZ on Thu, Dec 14, 00 at 2:12 Hello! I'm Bettye, a former Mississippian who has lived in Arizona for over thirty-eight years. Retired and counting the months (10 more) until my husband retires. Looking forward to spending time in Kentucky where we own some property . Enjoy many hobbies: gardening, reading, sewing and crafts. Have two daughters and a son. One daughter lives nearby, one is in Oregon and son lives in California. I have always been very active in the community but since I discovered the KT I am content to spend my time here!
Bettye -Good morning from sunny Arizona! I am your chronologically challenged (NOT Old) friend with a warped sense of humor, an upbeat personality most of the time and a husband who just retired. Enjoy doing crafts, reading, my grandchildren who range in age from 18 to 8, travel and doing volunteer work in the community. I love children, animals, walking barefoot on the beach(not easy here in the desert) and watching the glorious sunsets. I have lived here for thirty five years but grew up in Mississippi in the '50's. The KT is such a friendly place and I enjoy the discussions, even when they may get a little bit heated and I don't agree with them. Makes me think and I like that!
Bev OR on Thu, Dec 14, 00 at 19:35 Hello from Bev, I am about as old as dirt***(70) Married, to husband # 2. I have 2 daughters a son. Each have 2 children so that makes 6 grandkids. I have a great-grandson, just 2months old. He is a darling, of course!! We have been retired for 20 years. We used to spend the winters in AZ. It was so much fun to see some of our great country. We wanted to see more, but circumstances changed quickly. I enjoy gardening, both flower and vegetable. I really like to quilt, that is usually my winter project. Right now I am embroidering a set of dish towels for a gift. I also like to read, and so does DH. Our TV isn't used much. I don't do much posting at the KT. I read the posts as often as I can. You are all such a friendly group of women and so caring. My favorite flavor......Chocklit.
Bev on Mon, Jul 24, 00 at 1:53 Hello, I'm Bev. I live in Oregon in the beautiful Willamette Valley. I spend many happy hours in my garden. It is my "outlet" as my husband isn't well and we don't go much anymore. I really enjoy sewing. Never for me, but for others, and I like to make quilts too. That is a winter project. I also like to go to garage sales and to junk stores. I don't buy anything unless I have a real use for it, but it is fun to look. I am so excited, 'cause I will be a great grandma in October. My grandaughter lives about 5 miles from here so I will see the baby often. I read the postings here and sure enjoy them. I have learned alot. Everyone seems so friendly and I really love the humor. A good laugh never hurt anyone.

I'm a Mom of two grown children, and have 3 absolutely the most wonderful granddchildren that we keep often, work full time as a secretary, and dozens of projects of all sorts going on at the same time! I haven't been on here before but enjoy reading and finally decided to say Hi. An avid church goer, christian as I prefer, and just wish I could do all the things on my list! BonnyGranny FarNEast CA on Sun, Apr 22, 01 at 17:43 #### Hi, I am 65 yo. Live with my 78 yo DH (who still thinks and acts like 45) We have one old Aussie dog and a MEAN calico cat and a few cows. DH and I will have our 35th anniv. in June. Between us, we have 5 kids (3 girls, 2 boys, both boys named Jay) We have 9 grandkids and two GG-Kids. One grandson died of SIDS at age 4 months. We live in the NorthEastern corner of California and are pretty isolated. I live next door to the house I was conceived in.(the thought of that always makes me smile) The nearest town of any size is 100 miles. I love to make people laugh, craft, sew, cook, collect misc. information in my brain and do photography and computer, but mostly I love to take care of Grandson Griff, who has Down Syndrome and is fighting a battle with Leukemia. He takes up most of my time so the other things have taken a backseat. Guess that's about it. bye BG
BrendaCT I'm Brenda...I've lived in Connecticut most of my life. I have three boys...22,20, & 5. One (step)daughter 18. My husband & I have been married for 15 yrs(2nd for each of us). I love crafting, flea markets, rummage sales but....have put most things on the back burner for a while. We are in the process of building a new house and there are just not enough hours in the day!
BrendaTX I'm 33, live in Central TX, married, one son almost six years old. I work with foster kids, DH sells medical equipment. I like camping, gardening, shopping, playing dominoes, and going to music festivals. I'm on a showmanship chili team, White Trash Chili, won a couple of show awards here and there. What showmanship means is that we go, dress up, and act like fools, but our chili stinks! In fact, I don't even eat meat. We didn't do anything this year, because two of the girls on the team are pregnant. That's my life in a nutshell. BrendaTX
Brianna NJ on Fri, Jan 26, 01 at 6:33 I'm Brianna, 36, wanting really bad to be a domestic goddess. Have been out of work since Dec. 29, and trying to stay out as long as possible ;) After 19 years of "the rat race", I am enjoying this time off entirely too much! I have an 11 year old dog and a 1 year old cat, married 2 years, and have been spending my time off renovating the house. I love faux painting, and stenciling, so I'm doing each room one by one. Sissy, I lived in PA before I moved to NJ, at the time I worked for a no-kill shelter called "Hope for the Animals". I loved it..There's a no-kill shelter near me that takes care of domestic animals and rehabilitates wild animals - I will probably volunteer after I get the house in order.
