Hello! I live near Atlanta, Georgia, with my DH, 11-year-old son, and 8-year-old daughter.
I was a SAHM for nearly 12 years, recently started working part-time a few hours a week.
My hobbies are gardening, reading, and camping. My husband and I took a white-water
canoeing class, and are learning to tandem canoe. My son took a kayaking camp last
summer, so we are looking forward to practicing our skills now that the weather's warming
up.

My favorite web site of course is the KT. I used to be a musician in an Irish pub here and also a Reservations Manager for a Tour Operator. I'm now retired . Believe it or not I'm born on St. Patrick's Day. How Irish can you be LOL and they didn't call me Patricia. My real Irish name is Siobhan but too many people have trouble pronouncing it so I use my other name Dale.

I didn't see my name on the original posting so here it goes: I'm a native Texan, born in Dallas. Grew up mostly in Houston. I live in Austin now, and love it!!! I'm 28 and excited to be married for the 2nd time in March. (The first one started and ended in 9 months--no kids--just too abusive--so I left & have never regretted the decision to do so.) Now I'm marrying my best friend and soul mate, Brian. We met at work (he's an engineer and I'm an admin. assist.), and we spend the majority of our time together. Brian was born in Wisconsin, and has lived in Montana & Oregon. He's getting use to the Texas heat & I think he likes it here :). I'm a member of the Alpha Chi, Austin chapter of Beta Sigma Phi (an adult-service sorority) and Brian is a member of the Austin Chord Rangers (a barber shop choir--really cool!!). We have 3 wonderful babies: Truffles Ann-7 yrs.; Isa Lei-6 yrs. and Splinter Allan-3 yrs. (they're our cats >^,,^< ). We love the outdoors, camping, hiking, playing volleyball and softball. We enjoy travelling, family, playing card games, and relaxing (whenever possible). I've enjoyed the KT since Oct.'99 and love the people here.

Other than that, I've been a printer for over 25 yrs...divorced in'89 after 14 yrs...have two
adopted sons...both married and 2 grandchildren. Got a puter 13 mo ago and have been
seeking the top of the learning curve ever since. Really like working with graphics and
that's what I do to relieve stress. And the KT is helping in that area tremendously

SAHW until I find another job and since hopefully it will
be my last til I retire I am taking my time and finding something I like although I hope it's
soon cause my bills are mounting up. I have a DH of 13 years and two four legged girls
Kelly and Maxie that are mixed terriers. Whom I love to take for walks when the weathers
is nice. We do go in the cold too since we live in Illinois. In a house we have had for 9
years then I can start looking for my retirment home in AZ. I like too cross stitch, make
cards on my computer as well as surfing, and read when I have nothing else to do or in the
bathroom. That's me in a nutshell.

Hi, name is Debbie from MD near PA. I have been lurking for a long time but I have decided to come and have a seat. Everyone here on KT is down to earth and so helpful in many ways. I have answered some and questioned some, just never really took the time for a proper introduction. I want to take the time now to say "Hello". I am 43 years old, married one year as of the 6th of this month to a wonderful man. I have 3 children from a previous marriage of 19 years, daughter soon to be 22, son 20, one more daughter 13 along with a stepdaughter 12 and a stepson 8. We have three furbabies, 'Rufus' 3 yr old long haired cat, 'Freckles' 7 month old kitten, 'Nibbles 2 yr old hamster. At the present time I am not working and I hope to never return. I enjoy being home doing cross stitich, sewing, visiting KT, computer crafts and doing all the other chores that come with being a mother and a wife. Hi all! I turned 45 in January, and am a SAHM with DS Matthew, who is 8, and DD
Amber, who is 12. Married to DH for 13 years and living in Georgia for 12 years. I'm
originally from Maine and DH is from Salt Lake City, Utah. He is a jet mechanic for a
major airline, which fortunately gives us the opportunity to fly to visit our families
whenever we can. I keep busy with the kids and the house, and just yesterday mailed in
my application to become a substitute teacher for the elementary school my son attends. I
love the KT and feel like I know so many of you personally.

Debby-NY, 46 (shudder), married 20 yrs next month. DD almost 12, DS just turned eight.
No furbabies because we have turned into the neighborhood dog sitters. Kids want one of
their own but our most usual houseguest may become available. Her owner's divorced and
selling the house. If he can't find a condo that takes pets, she's ours.
I'm a SAHM, DH is a long haul trucker, fuel prices really doing a number on us. Should
have said no house pets because we own a horse. Registered Quarterhorse named Cody.
Very sweet, doesn't kick or bite. DD has gotten him hooked on gobstoppers and malted
milk balls. He loves the malted milk balls but will take a carrot or apple instead. At least he
doesn't drink soda.

Debi -Well I am 31 years old,live with my common law DH and our 5 year old son. I live 15 minutes past Sandy...she said an hour east of Toronto so I guess I am an hour and 15 minutes past Toronto. I have been here for awhile but also started hanging out at the CC. I am a SAHM and pretty much have been since my son was born. I don't have any real hobbies other than my computer. I would love to be able to do crafts but don't have a crafty bone in my body. One day I would love to get back into the work force and do something with computers.

Since I got such a warm welcome today, I feel you folks should know who's sitting beside you at this KT! Besides sleeping late, I enjoy gardening, tile & china painting and fabric crafts. Also love cats--mine, yours, strays, any of 'em! A couple of days per week, I do volunteer work with a group of disabled adults. My husband and I will celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary Dec 19th. I love to tell jokes and I love to laugh!

Dena Howdy! I'm Dena, been at the KT for a couple of months now and find myself spending way too much time here! Been married for what seems like forever (almost 14 years) and have two wonderful sons, Preston (13) and Andrew (4). I grew up in northern Utah (Ogden) and lived there until I was 18. Since then I've lived in the other 4 Corners states (Colorado, New Mexico, & Arizona), S. Dakota, Oklahoma, Texas, Iowa, and currently call Kansas home. Live in the country now (and love it!!!) with 2 dogs. Used to have chickens (anywhere from 3-27, big mistake!) and 2 calves. DH is a CPA in real life, but is a closet farmer--hence the livestock. I'm currently trying to finish a degree in Management Information Systems while working full time on campus and sort of maintaining a home. Love music, sewing, crafting, reading and my family--mom, dad, 2 sisters, 4 brothers and all of their additions. Unfortunately, I don't have near enough time to cover all my interests, so I spend it here at the KT. But, it's a good place to be, so what the heck!

Denise in New Zealand - married 20 years, four boys 14,12,10 and nearly 9. Also two
male cats Vinnie & Cruizee. Work part time in a video store and spend the rest of my day
trying to keep sane and keep our home in some sort of order. Heavily involved in soccer
and inline hockey with the kids.
It's heading into winter here so add trying to keep warm to the list.

My turn! I just turned 25 last week, been married to DH for just barely over a year. I have a wonderful 7 year old DD who is a red head (lord help us!) and a 9 year old DSD who is trying to find herself these days (by making us crazy! Hee!). I work in the financial industry, but am trying desperately to find a way to become a SAHM. So if anyone has any brilliant ideas on what I can do to generate income from home, please feel free to e-mail me.
We have a 9 yr old black lab, that if you aren't careful will fall asleep mid stride...and stay that way. Sheesh. Also a 7 month old brittany that is making me nuts with her digging.
I love being on the computer, only been at the KT for a few months. I love decorating and remodeling (when we have money!!!) and being with DH. We ride our motorcycle with our friends for fun, and I must admit I look ridiculous on it. I need to get some leather and bulk up or something, 'cause right now I look like a prissy yuppie on that thing. LOL!
That's about it I guess....who's next?

I have been married 6 years to a good man. I have two daughters, 30 and 18. Two step daughters, 35 and 33. I adopted my two when they were very small. I have 6 step grandkids, five boys and one girl. I have a yorkie named Fergie and two cats, named Mimi and sammy. I babysit to make extra money and enjoy my little ones very much altho I may quit next August when one starts preschool. I love the KT, been here since the first of August and have made some wonderful friends. I love to do crafts of all sorts, however the KT keeps me busy anymore. I love to collect cobalt blue glassware. My favorite colors are blue and green. I studied cosmetology but went into data processing instead. I love living in the mountains and I guess this is enough about me. I'm so glad to know all of you.

Live on a small farm in southern Wisconsin. Raise chickens (for eggs) have a 1/4 acre garden that feeds us most of the year, and grow flowers to sell and eat (fancy-schmancy restaurants use them) and sell raspberries too in late summer.
40(and still not used to it yet!) married 5 years to DH, after a 3 year "test-drive", who is a Microsoft Engineer, handsome, funny, hardworking, etc.
Sonny, 13, who came with the marriage (he's been "mine" since he was 3) is a typical teen...into music, the computer, videos, skiing, and avoiding work of any kind!
Furbabies are: Cinder, 8, Black Lab. Murphy, 4, Black Lab. Tim, 15, mutt cat. Sydney, 13, mutt cat. Bob, age unknown, lives in the barn and keeps things under control out there!
I work part time for the Seed Savers Garden Store, where I am a staff gardener. They actually PAY me to talk with people all day long about gardening, seeds, heirloom veggies, etc. Still can't believe my luck! The rest of the time I work from home, selling books on the WWW, (I'll post my URL at another time), and workin' my butt off to keep up with the messes that DH and Sonny leave in their wakes!
My hobbies are: The KT, my pets, my garden, reading and crochet. I don't watch much TV, aside from The Weather Channel (addicted) and gardening shows on HGTV!

Diane from eastern Pa. turned 48 in July. Married To 53 yr.old Christopher for 28 years this month. Chose not to have children---opted for the legged variety instead--have 2 dogs, 12 yr. old collie missy and 2 yr. old Chow chow Mesha. Both DH and I are self employed with our own company.

Where to begin.....I'll make this short (my friends are laughing as I say that because I could go on and on and on...) I'm 45 y.o. and live in South Florida (Hollywood - between Fort Lauderdale and Miami) with my husband, Alan, my chocolate Labrador Retriever, Snickers, and my calico cat, Callie-Amber (couldn't decide what to name her so I gave her two names). We have no children together but he has a 22 y.o. daughter from another marriage (the ex-bi**h as he calls her) and the daughter is getting married in August so I get to meet the ex everybody @ the wedding. Alan and I have been together 16 years on Saturday 7/15 (married for 4 1/2 - I couldn't make a commitment LOL) second marriages for both of us. I am a self-employed Paralegal/Legal Assistant which gives me a little free time. Started working for attorneys when I was 18 and in 1992 I wanted to have less stress so I decided to do this on my own. (forget about the less stress that didn't happen). That's about it for now. Hi everyone. I am 47 years old, married going on 28 years. Two kids. DS is 20 and
working on his Doctor of Pharmacy degree. DD is 15, a freshman in high school and wants
to be a vet. They are good kids and the best thing that ever happened to me. I love animals
and there are always a lot of them around here! I have two dogs; Abby, an 18 month old
Irish Setter, and Muffin, a 9 year old Shih Tzu. I also have pekin ducks (the white ones
like Donald), Blackberry, our house rabbit, doves, a snake, a tarantula and a desert tortoise
who summers with us. Also have lots of koi and goldfish in my backyard ponds. I love
cooking, gardening (especially herbs, hot peppers, and water plants), reading and big band,
pre-1965 oldies, and classical music. I have found a lot of great music on Napster and am
learning from my DS how to put it on CD's. I really enjoy talking with everyone here.

DD is 26 and lives about 45 minutes from me and DS is still living at home. I have no GC yet. We almost became grandparents but DD had a miscarriage back in the summer. DH works for Carpet Co. and has very long hours, so I am left to spend alot of time on the Net and especially here at the KT!! Met DH when he was stationed here in the army. He is from Wisconsin. I was born and raised here in Tennessee. We lived in WI. for 10 years and have been back here for 5 years. I worked in the Nursing field for 6 years, ran a daycare for 5 years, and worked for DH when he had his own business for 3 years. Now I work on my hobbies which include, gardening, quilting, cooking, and now I'm trying to learn how to do candles. We have 2 dogs, one 12 years, the other 3 years. We love to travel. One of my goals is to visit every state in the U.S., which I only have a feww left and then on to Europe. If I last that long!!! I guess thats about it.

Donnie-OK Hi you all! I'm 62, have 3 children, 2 DS's and 1 DD. 4 GD's (2) 19, (1) 18 (1)7. One corker of a GS 6 yrs old. Live close to Tulsa, OK., close to where Will Rogers came from. Just live a few miles from his birthplace. We live in the country and have animals of all kinds. Cattle, a horse, a pair of mules, dogs, cats, chickens, guineas, ducks and wild geese who nest here every year. I like to sew, cook, knit, craft, crochet, fish and read. Our favorite past time is to hook up the mules and wagon and go on trail drives with club members. We love to fish and with having a lake almost at our door step really enjoy it. Have been in OK since '76, was born and raised in Kansas. We go to a small church and as it goes with small organizations of any kind, we are on all the committies. One of our DGD's lives with us and is a senior in high school this year. We started a home business in '95 with the hopes our oldest son would take over, maybe he will and maybe he won't, but at least he is trying. DH had worked in the business for others for over 25 years. I do the books, take orders and arrange scheduling. So we are all involved. Bad habits, I smoke and spend way to much time and money on the telephone. Especially with DD in Colorado. Oh well, we only live once and can't take it with us. I have posted some, but mostly lurking, new to the internet and kind of leery of posting. But am getting better at it and just love KT. I go to it first thing every morning and it gives my day a great start. Donnie

SO of 9 years, DS Wayne (21) and 2 kitties, Scooter and Mad Max. Have a DD Kristy
(26) and DSD (sort of) Keri(27) who don't live at home (thank goodness). Will be 45 til
October :-(. Work as Office Manager/Executive Assistant for a custom door and window
manufacturer. Like to spend time at our cabin in the local mountains (don't get to as much
as we'd like lately), hike, read, craft, exercise, cook and spend time at the KT!

Heidy Ho Neighbors! Been at the KT for about a year and a half, off and on. AKA bwfrogg, budfrogg99 and Poppy With 3 P's. Did live in WI. Now in IN. Hobbies are reading, writing stupid poetry, flower gardening, trying to keep up with old friends. Have difficulty talking because my foot is usually in my mouth. Not a serious minded person.
