PEACE everyone, I live in So.Calif. am 52yrs old, married to my sweetie almost 22yrs. 2DD's one is 33 with a wonderful husband and two great kids, the other is 20 and a junior in college (yea! almost done) a DS 17 a junior in HS.
I work part time and lazy around the rest of the time. I love crafts and reading oh I also love to watch TV! I love shopping, any type and going to lunch and talking!!!
Jackie-OK Hello everyone. I am 53 years old. I live in the northwest part of Oklahoma. I have been married 35 years and we have one daughter who is 25 and lives about 2 hours away from us. I don't work outside the home. I like to read and garden. I sew some and I am taking some computer classes at night.

I collect Cookbooks, Tea pots, and unusual pepper grinders. the Queen of our house is our 4 year old Black Lab Lucky.

and "almost 7". I have a Bachelor's degree in Finance but have been a SAHM for eight
years and I love it. My first DD was born 11 weaks early, weighing 2 pounds, 3 ounces,
and my second DD was born 15 months later at term (thank G0d). I live in Phoenix, but
consider myself a Texan at heart (raised in Dallas and went to college in East TX). I love
crafts, home decorating and watching old game shows on TV. My friends think I am Lilly
Munster because nothing makes me happier than a rainy, drizzly, overcast day!

Hi, I guess this is the best way to finally introduce myself, as I am one of those too, who
slid in the back door, sat down and just started posting without introducing myself (how
rude, huh), well that's cause I'm from Louisiana, we kinda just jump in and make ourselves
at home, and hope everyone else does the same. Let's see, I'm 40, DH is 51, been married
11 years (first for us both). We have 2 children, Rachel is 11 (yeah, go ahead and read
back), and Lance is 9. I am a SAHM, and DH works for Airborne Express. We have 1
dog, chuhuahua (sp?), and 1 Fat Cat, one turtle, one mouse,and a bunch of fish. I am a
taxi driver for my kids activities, such as baseball, softball, basketball, boy scouts, and
anything else. My real hobby is this computer, and I love collecting. Have collection of
Precious Moments, Norman Rockwell's, Mardi Gras doubloons, and coins. I love to cook,
(who in Louisiana doesn't?) and EAT!!! I guess that's bout all for now. Just want to say I
love the KT the short while I've been here--these people are great!

Hi All,
My name is Jan and I am 45. I have been married to my DH since 1980. I have 2 sons. Chad will be 20 on Groundhog Day(much to his misery! heheheh) And Jameson was 13 on Sept. 21. We have 4 furbabies (Our kitties) Sassy, Charlie, Hallie and Toby. A hamster, Annabelle and 3 aquariums. I work out of my home. I have a small daycare center. I am a Medical Assistant, but am at home now. My hobbies are reading, crafting, and I am in the process of compiling a family and friends cookbook (I will be hitting you guys up at a later date). I started a Christmas Craft Club many years ago and this Christmas putting together the 3rd edition of our cookbook "Yummies for Our Tummies". And in my spare time a friend and I are putting together a Grand Reunion for our High School. Our alma mater closed in 1989.....so we are trying to get the classes 1963-1989 together for a reunion next summer or early fall. Hi, another Jan here. Don't know how you all keep it straight, I have seen quite a few posts with Jan attached. I am a WV native, but I now live in NC. In 16 months I will be moving to OK with my DH and 3 kids (8, 4, and 2) where we will start building our own home. We are going to live with my inlaws during the process, but I love them to death, so it should be fine. I am into all sorts of crafting, and my best friend, Karen, directed me here a few days ago. I don't know if she posts or not, but if not she should. She is absolutely wonderful, my anchor in good times and bad. I am a SAHM right now, and I love it. Dh and I have been married 9 years, and he is fabulous too. Oh, you won't believe this!! I just looked at the Jan above mes post! I have a Chad too! Although he is only 8. Isn't that crazy! And we both have 3 aquariums too! Ack! Let me see what else...she reads...me too, I was an english education major in college. Too wild. Oh well..I think I am in love with this board already. I have been reading as far back as I can go on a lot of different boards here, and everyone seems so friendly. I am glad I could join you!!

Janice C- Western NY Hi All! I am a 35 yr. old SAHM to my 12 yr.old DS (after 11 years of working in Musical Instrument Repair). Married to my wonderful DH (53 yrs.old..musician & firefighter) for 1 1/2 yrs., although we have been together for quite a while. Aside from our rare moments when we want to wring each other's necks (LOL!), we feel blessed to have found one another. :) I like doing crafts, and recently started selling some...no craft shows yet though....I like sewing, quilling, crochet, some needlepoint, & playing with paint (although I am not a painter by any stretch of the imagination...) I have ~ in addition to DS ~ 3 step-sons, 2 DILs, 1 DIL-to-be (we hope), 3 step granddaughters (they are DH's step-GD's also), and DH's 1st "biological" GC (a girl) is due next month! :)
We also have a dog and a parakeet. (almost forgot to mention them!)

I have been at the KT for about 6 mos., and thoroughly enjoy it! In years gone by, I have lived all over the USA and in Europe. "I wasn't born in Texas, but I got here as fast as I could!", and I love it!

Hi everyone! Absolutely love KT. I have been married for 43 years, have two sons,(living
in OH) married, with five grandchildren between them and a daughter who is still single
and lives in FL. I work part time in a real estate office and enjoy it very much. Have a dog
named Maycie (an English Springer Spaniel)... such a cutie. Would like to find a way of
working from home on the computer if anyone knows of anything. Have a lot of
experience in dictation, etc. My husband & I enjoy traveling and do it whenever possible
however, he is in business and cannot be gone as much as we would like. Love having my
new friendships at the table.

Hello everyone..I live in Halifax, nova Scotia and I just turned 55 on Jan.3. Found KT by accident, and I feel right at home here. I have been divorced twice, and raised 3 terrific children alone. I picked a rough row to hoe, but they turned out well, so I guess I did a good job. Prersently have a fine gentleman as a companion and my best friend. I am learning computer..have a long way to go yet. I have a home business that supports me, 4 cats who think they are furry people, and a golden lab who is too fat for her own good. I have to change her diet soon. I love to garden, roses are my passion, and I suffer from arthritis. Some days are bad! In response to Marilyn O..I wish you serenity and peace, and I will say a prayer for you. I respect and admire your attitude, and I hope that I will be as graceful as you are, when my time comes. Jean MD Hi! I'll add my 2 cents worth. I'm 64 3/4, married 45 years to a wonderful DH - 5 children - ll grandchildren - emphasis on the GRAND! Retired 2 years and enjoy reading, traveling, cooking, easy crafts, Bunco, card playing, and flea marketing. Try to catch all that goes on KT every evening, when possible. Hi, KTers! I'm a native Californian, living in a small city smack half-way between Santa
Barbara and LA on what's called the Gold Coast. I've been married to my DH for almost
28 years now, and we have two children: a DS, 25, who lives in the SF area and works for
a dot.com, and a DD,20, who goes to Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo and is studying Computer
Engineering. So, right now, we only have our three cats to keep us company. My hobbies,
aside from the KT, are the computer, reading and gardening. And tomorrow, Monday, I
start a new job as a Library Page at the city library. Books are just about my favorite
things so I'll be in heaven. Ok, who's next
Jen OK Wow, this thread is really getting long. I gotta get my bio in altho' I do feel like I'm repeating myself. Ya'll might remember me as the lurker who came out requesting "encouragement" when I was about to have a hysterectomy in Aug. I'm such a baby! Anyway, I'm 37 till Nov. and I've been married for 17 years to my soulmate. We have two sons, one terrifyingly close to 13 and the other almost 11. Great boys, we couldn't be prouder. Right now we live in NW Okla. but will be moving soon to NE Texas because of DH's job transfer. We have two "pound puppies", Buddy is a border collie mix and Annie is a cocker spaniel mix. They are a mess but we love 'em. I'm trying to think of my hobbies. Everything is sort of on hold since I'm spending so much time getting ready for this move. Gotta keep the house in "show" condition and it's about to kill me! So I don't dare do any crafts or much cooking~~don't want to mess up the house! I guess my favorite things to do are redecorating, faux painting and I love to make floral arrangements. I also made cornice boards and drapes for my bedroom and they turned out beautifully. (But they stay with the house~~boo hoo!) Oh well, I made them once, I can do it again! Also, I guess you can tell, I tend to ramble. I love the KT and wish we could all get together for real. I'm looking forward to the ornament exchange and I think it's great that Millie SD is up on this computer stuff. My Grandma is a little older than Millie but she refuses to even try to learn. I think it scares her. Way to go Millie. It's been very nice to meet all of you. Oh yeah, I'm not a night owl so I gotta say good night! YAWN! It's past my bed time............

My name is Jerri and I live in NW Texas on a very small ranch, about 300 something
acres. We have 4 peacocks, 3 large dogs, 5 donkeys, 3 horses, various cats and a many
cattle. every animal on the place is pure-d nuts! Something in the water, I think. 5 adult
(?) children, 6 step-grandchildren. I'm semi-retired, will return to substitute teaching at the
local high school in the fall, which I love more than anything I've ever done. Try to
garden but the elements are against me, as are the crazy animals. love to read, and love

Hi, I'm Jo (short for Joanne) and I live in Toronto, Ontario, the city that's bidding for the
2008 summer olympics. I am 58 and have been married to the same DH for almost 33
years. I am a non-teaching faculty member of a large university, and am a professional
librarian, and in the past 10 years have been very involved in collective bargaining for
faculty. DH is a retired academic. DD (almost 32) and her DH live in Pearl River, NY (no
GK's yet) DS (almost 26) is a personal banker for one of the large Canadian banks, and for
the time being lives at home in order to pay off the loan for his car. No furkids anymore -
our Morris look-alike & English bulldog passed over the Rainbow Bridge many years ago.
DH & I travel frequently, especially to NY, and have seen many interesting countries of
the world. We love good food & wine, and indulge in this "hobby" at home, not in
restaurants (unfortunately for me!) The whole family is still involved in scouting, and we
camp in the Adironacks every summer. I collect Russian eggs (my weakness)
I am having a senior moment here and can't remember when I joined the KT - sometime in
January or February I think, although I had been lurking for several months before that.
And I am truly addicted to this place, I just love it!

Hi. I'm 52, married, and have been here at the kt since the first day.
We have 2 businesses we run out of the home, I love working at home, no more driving to
work in snowstorms. DH and I travel as much as possible.
I have 2 kids, four BEAUTIFUL grand kids. DH has 5 kids, 13 grand kids.
Last year I found a wonderful new hobby, photography, and have had a wonderful time
with it.
We live in eastern MN, 14 miles from Wisconsin border, 70 miles north of St. Paul. Lucky
enough to live on a river and have a beautiful big yard. I'm not too enamored with the river
this spring though!!

about 20 miles from town. Most of my time is at my pc and the KT.

Hi, I'm JoAnn from North Fl. I was born & raised in NJ, been in Fl for 30 yrs now. I've been at the KT since aroud March 2000. I am 51, married 29 yrs, 1 DS & 2 grown stepchildren, 3 grandchildren. At present we have 2 horses, 2 emu's, 2 goats, 1 racoon & chickens. It's always a zoo around here. I love to read & listen to audio tapes, go to flea markets/yard sales. I have a collection of small cottages from England and some lighthouses. I love the beach, even though I rarely get to go. I spend most of my time with webtv when I'm not working at a local restaurant. I have really enjoyed being here at the KT and hearing all your stories. Everyone has been very helpful and I have learned so much from all of you, Thank You. :)

I am not new to the KT, just a little errant in adding my info. I'm Jodi, aged 46. I've been married 26 years to a wonderful man I've known since 2nd grade (we were neighbors). We have two kids, ages 12 and 14, a boy and girl. We live in Orange County California with one Cairn Terrier, two Chinese Water Dragons, a Dwarf Russian Hamster and some mice. I am a graphic designer with my own business specializing in proposal and multimedia presentations for Fortune 500 companies. My kids are involved in dance (daughter takes 8 dance classes per week), roller hockey, boy scouts, sewing, shopping and anything else that costs money. :-) I volunteer for a non-profit organization called Sidelines. (http://www.sidelines.org) Sidelines offers support (email and phone) to women on bedrest due to a high-risk pregnancy. I also sit on their board of directors. Hello all, I am jt, live in Houston, have not posted much but enjoy the friendly attitude most of the posters on KT have for each other. Widow, age 62+++, still working as a commercial artist, love my work and have not even thought of retirement. Hobby is gardening, and my dogs, also have a few cats around.
Jude MI -Okay, I guess it's about time I did this too! My name is Judy but my DH calls me Floo (short for Floozie---long story). I'm 46. We've been together for 17 yrs (married for 15½ of them). I have one DD, 27; two SGD and one GS --and another grandchild due in August. We have two beagles, Tallie and Tag, one silver tabby who runs the place, and doesn't answer to her name--Remnant and more kiler dust bunnies than you can spray Endust at! In October of '99 I quit my pt job at a fabric store to work at home doing stained glass. I like to say that I quilt, but that hasn't happened since I begain working with glass. DH works at a office furniture factory in Grand Rapids, MI. Enjoy spending time at the KT, getting to know al of you like a 'family'. Some of my favorite words are clearance, bargain, and sale. My all time favorite movie is The Wizard of OZ.

We are ruled by 3 dogs, 2 Chinese Pugs, and one Cairn Terrier. Love nascar racing (Mark Martin) and camping, we have a 36 ft motor-home, so we really rough it when we camp. Every once in awhile we sneak over to Tunica, Ms. and hit the casino's. Really enjoy that. Love my computer, just got it a couple of months ago. love having fun, and acting crazy, as my niece Jackie, Wi. said our whole family is a little nuts, when we can get together its great. My bad habits, lets see, gee I don't think I have any, except puffing away on those nasty cigs. and staying up half the night on my computer, and being lazy the next day,and not getting my house work done. Just turned 41. You know, like the song, she's 41 and her momma still calls her baby!!! :-) Well she use too. Both parents have passed on. I miss them both, sooooo much.:-(
But yes, I am the baby out of 7 kids. I have 4 sisters and 2 brothers. We are all very close. I am married to a wonderful husband, of 20 years. I love to craft, go hiking in the Smokies. Love to shop to drop, kinda thingy..:-)
And Christmas is my favorit time of the year, and a very close 2nd, the fall season. I love the KT. Found it a couple of months ago, and have been here since..:-)

Hi...Judy from Ohio...just turned 54 and recently celebrated 20 years of marriage with husband Gary. I have 3 sons, 2 step-daughters and 5 GK.
I work part-time in small grocery(presently on med leave) which supports my hobbies...woodworking, quilting, computer crafts....none of which I have mastered! Love going to estate sales, auctions and junk stores looking for trash that I can transform to treasures. I enjoy biking, hiking, swimming and recently have been learning to rock climb a little (really tough).
We are the "youngsters" in our neighborhood and I enjoy doing all that I can for my many Mom's & Dad's (my way of volunteering).
I have really enjoyed getting to know you all....Thankyou for sharing your lives with me everyday.
Judy OH Judy here. I'm 49 (at least I can still say that for a few more weeks), married to DH John for 31 years, and have two grown sons. I live in a suburb of Cleveland and work as an educational aide in an elementary school. I love to read, cook and bake, grow flowers, and spend way too much time on my Web TV. I also enjoy getting together with friends, watching movies, playing cards and bingo. I've enjoyed reading about everyone else here.
Judy - So Calif I'm 56 - married 32 yrs., 2 adult children - a boy 30, a girl 25. I've lived in So. Calif. 25 yrs. after moving west from Madison, Wis. Before I was married I lived in Chicago all my life but DH refused to move to Chicago so I ended up moving to Wisconsin. But I loved living there & still miss the weather & the people. I'm the sales dept. secretary for a large electrical mfg. company. I've worked here 12 yrs. & DD works here 2-1/2 yrs. down the hall in accounting. We car pool & it's really convenient. Don't have a lot of hobbies, but enjoy reading, traveling & cooking/baking, knitting sometimes. DH & I are looking forward to retirement in a few yrs. & want to move up to Central Calif.

Been on disabilty for over two years as I have CFS.
Previously worked as a Personal Assistant and latterly did the administration for a chain of shops on the Internet.
I have been a volunteer in a Hospice for 14 years, enjoy crafts and the KT.

Hello! My name is Julie and I am from SW Okla. I have been married for 25 years and have a 22 yo DD, a 21 yo DS, and a 14 yo DS. The first two are in college and the last is starting high school this year. We live in the country and love it. I am not employed at this time as I had some surgery the first of the year and doctor recommended I find a different job. I was a site manager for Sr. Citizen's and did too much lifting for my back. Miss all my friends there, though. I have the title of "The Youngest Sr. Citizen in Town." I am an avid reader, gardener, and music lover. My husband still plays in a parttime rock and roll band and I am their biggest "groupie"!

I could have sworn I had already done this, but I'm not on any of those lists, so I guess
not. So...I live in a suberb north of Houston, TX. We've lived here for almost 3 years, but
the longest I have lived anywhere in my married life is 4.5 years. I have been married to
my wonderful DH for 13 years today, and we I have the three most beautiful, gifted,
intelligent, fun children in the world (IMHO ~ tehehehe) ~ DS#1 will be 11 in June, DD
will be 8 two days before her big brother's BD, and DS#2 just turned 2. We also have a
large black area rug (lab) named Xena, and a black hairball (cat) named Voodoo. I am a
SAHM at the moment, and earn a little money sewing. I love Karate, quilting, cooking,
wine, travel, and British television. I also like to watch cartoons and ride bikes and
rollerblade with my kids.
I have a degree in Sports Medicine, but have really never used it except when the kids get
hurt at one of their games. When DH and I married, he was in the Air Force, and in the
beginning, we moved around a lot. Then, I had kids, and just never got around to getting a job in my field. When I grow up, I think I would either like to go to chef school, or teach kick boxing (the real thing, not Tae Bo). What I would really like is to take over Rick Steve's job, but he won't give it up!
If someone had told me when I was in college that I would be a SAHM with three children, a dog and a cat, I would have told them they were nuts. That was definitely not in the plans! But it's a pretty good gig, and I am greatful for the chance to watch my children grow. I never know what will happen next, but He has always taken care of us, so I won't worry.

Hi Everyone, great forum have been lurking awhile, so let me be the first aussie to join in. I'm 54 years young, have three children 31,28,23, two still at home, love crafting but mainly quilting. I live about 40 minutes out of Melbourne, towards the bottom of the map of Australia (just so you can imagine) towards the bay, My daughter worked in Florida for a couple of years and my son in Colorado, so I used to watch the map so I could see where they were visiting. so G'day to you all.
