Karen-SK -Hello everyone! I'm 41 years old and have been married 21 years. We also have a 21 year old son who attends tech. school and works partime. I have been a stay-at-home-mom, but a few months ago took a computer &accounting course and hope to get a job soon, although I might have to take some more courses. I love reading, drawing, antiques/collectibes, history (ancient and modern), all aspects of social justice (that's the field I'd like to work in), cooking, searching the internet for all kinds of information (that includes the KT!), and anything Vicorian!

Hi all! I'm glad I didn't miss this post! My name is Karen, born, raised & live in SE PA. I'm 27, my DH Chris is 28, & we've been married for 3 years. We have one poochie (Indy), and one on the way (Maddy?) who we'll pick up on 10/14! Yea! No kids yet, but we're trying! ;) I found the THS when my DH & I were looking for a house 2.5 years ago, and I've been lurking & posting here for a little over a year... My interests are reading, photography, summer, my dad's scandinavian viking group, and any water sport on the Chesapeake Bay! I'm just beginning to become a "Shore" goer (for those non Philly area people - I just started going to the Jersey Shore). HOW COULD I FORGET! I just became an AUNT!!!! Hi. I'm 46, been married almost 23 years, 3 kids. Lived in Iowa until we moved here 6 years ago. Graduated college at 39 and taught home ec 1 year, then the position was cut at my school and I've been back home ever since, but do a lot of volunteer work at the schools (I don't like to sub.) I'm usually on the cooking and craft forums, but wandered over here awhile back and can't stay away. There is so much going on here. I tell myself every morning I won't read the forums, I'll just do my housework and get on with my life...and look what happened, I missed all the fuss today! (But I didn't get my work done, either.)

We have two grown children out on thier own (YES!!!) and the most adorable two grandbabies with one more on the way in April. We were a military family for 21 years, now retired but still working, heck we may never be able to totally retire. It's just us at home now, and do we ever love it!! Hi: Kath here. Former visiting nurse service administrator and ambulance medic. Mom to 3 grown sons, one GS and one GD. We are snowbirds, leaving for FL. next week. DH is retired. I also came here from HGTV at the beginning of KT. I visit other sites, but KT is like family. Its amazing what we learn about our friends here, isn't it? You'er all like little sisters to me. I have one DB but no sisters. We have a dear little Yorkie (priceless, DH says) named Becky. Like everyone else, wish I lived near Glenda!!!

KATHY - Hi everyone!!!! This is great to learn a little about everyone. I'm somewhat of a newbie. Been around since last month. Lets see here---I'm 33, no, just had a B-day, 34 yrs old, I've been married for 6 yrs now. We live Southeast of Cleveland on 2 acres in the "country". We have 2 kids, Kayla who will be 4 on April 1--what planning, huh? and Matthew who is 20 months. They are my pride and joy, and keep me hopping from morn til night, as well as my full time job (secretarial bookkeeping). I love to exercise, I go 2x per wk to the gym (not enough for me-but w/my schedule, don't have much time) looking to buy in home equipment at this time!! Oh, lets not forget our first baby--Jesse, a chocolate lab who is 5yrs old. Hi, Obviously I'm Kathy. I live in Northern VA just across the Potomac from DC. Have a great DH that I have been married to for 30 years. A daughter and a son, two granddaughters and a big old Golden Retriever. I love music, decorating, the beach and CHOCOLATE! I came here from HGTV with the first wave which included Mary Rose, Tiger, Ginger, Decor Chick and many, many others. I used to spend way too much time here, but haven't been able to do so this past year. Have lurked now and then just to make sure everyone's alright and have started to post again. This is still the nicest neighborhood on the net!!!

I am Kathy from Ohio and live in the country on the outskirts of a small town. I am a
farmer's daughter (thinking of changing my name to that, since there are too many Kathys
on these forums) and have been a country girl all of my life. I am getting pretty close to the
half century mark,(YIKES!) and DH and I have been married for almost 29 years. I like
flower gardening, crafts and antiques. I collect Santas, snowmen and Fostoria and enjoy
cruising in our restored '55 Ford. My DH and I also enjoy searching the fields for Indian
artifacts. I guess you could say that I don't lead an exciting life because the highlight of my
day is sitting at the KT! LOL!

How rude of me! Evidently I just walked in, sat down and started talking and never
introduced myself. Here goes:
My name is Kathy and I moved from Southeast Ar. to East Texas twelve years ago. I have
been married for 33 yrs and have two wonderful grown daughters, one is 31 and the other
is 25. The 25 yr old one is married and has two of the most adorable (not prejudiced here)
little boys ages 3 and 5. My 31 yr old daughter is still single but has been out on her own
for several years.
I worked in the distribution office of a Co. that manufactured plumbing parts until Jan. 31
when my job ended because of the Co. moving to Mexico. Just staying home now and
enjoying every minute. Finally have gotten to do some improvements around the house
that I've wanted to do for a long time. Also enjoying the KT and reading about all the
friends here from all around the world.
I love to do crafts and home decor projects. Have learned so much over the last couple of
years. I love to paint floor cloths for my own use and love spending time with my
grandsons.
Thanks for letting me sit down and tell about myself. It's a pleasure joining all of you here
at the table.
Kathy N/ OH You gals (and a few guys also, I noticed!) are just toooo funny! I've been sitting for way too long reading these posts and actually LOL, but I couldn't stop reading! I think I'm going to like it here! I got an e-mail this morning in regards to a post on another forum from Sharon who said she was from the KT . . . had to find out what it was and I'm glad I did. Anyway . . . I'm Kathy, I live in NE Ohio, 38 y/o married to the same wonderful DH for 14 years. We have 3 sons, ages 12, 11, and almost 6 (if I let him live that long). They really are good boys, but the testerone levels around here are toxic. I'm an LPN, working 4 days/week night shift in a nursing home. I love my old people . . . they are so much fun and so full of knowledge and interesting stories. My boys are all heavily into little league baseball, which takes up much time from April to October . . .just finished fall league this past weekend. DH is a system analyst in charge of the computer dept. but his first love (besides me, of course!) is drag racing. It's alot of fun, and the whole family is involved. I don't get my hands dirty with the car, but I pack a mean picnic lunch for the crew. I enjoy cross stitching, and just about any kind of crafting. We are in the process of building a new home. It's about time because we are about ready to bust the seams on this one with just 2 bedrooms. That's me in a really big nutshell. Sorry to go on and on, but they don't call me Chatty Kathy for nothin'!
Kathy-Lee So Calif-Hi all! Kathy-Lee from the beautiful north coast of southern Calif. I've lived in this town for 99% of my life and love it here. My DH and Imarried as teenagers 37 yrs. ago. We have 2 DS, 1 DIL, and 2 GC. Both sons work for the company business, and our hearts could 'bout bust with the good men these boys have become! We are most humble & grateful for that. #2 DS is looking for a great girl like his SIL!! Anyone have the perfect girl for my perfect (almost) son? I am an Interior Designer/Space Planner, but currently re-evaluating my career choice. I enjoy quiet pastimes like painting, reading, & embroidery.

Hi All,
I will be 44 in November. I have been married to DH #2 for 10 years, our 11th anniversary
is next month. We have two boys, Matt,11 and Andrew,10. I also have a DD-24 and a
DS-21 from a previous marriage. No granchildren. We also enjoy two cats, Buddy and
Missy, and recently adopted a cocker/dach mix named Cuddlebones. My DH is a seasonal
belly dump truck driver, and I am a Certified Medical Assistant in a small local clinic. We
rent a house on a 240 acre farm way out in the boonies and LOVE it.
I read almost daily but post very seldom, I love this Table, it seems to always have room
for one more!!

Kerry/TX - I've been mostly a lurker for the last year, but I guess it's time to post something! I'm 38 (ouch!) and the oldest of 6 children. I grew up military and have lived all over the world. By the time I was 20, I had moved 70 times. I am married almost 19 years to *the* greatest guy. We have three living children: DS almost 17, DS almost 15 and DD almost 9. DS#2 has Autism/PDD. We live around the corner from my in laws. In fact, we are surrounded... We live down the road from Melanie in Katy, TX. (If you're not busy on 10/29 to 10/30 come & see my oldest in the lead role at KHS's production of One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest. He's playing Jack Nicholson's part. We are PROUD!!) I am a SAHM, who is busy with lots of assorted stuff, mostly church service and family stuff. I like to read, mostly the classics. I occassionally bake wedding cakes. I am craft impaired. I have spent the last year nursing DH back to health after a near fatal car accident. We have had such a good time getting to know each other again. We have passed the "retirement test"we can spend all day, every day with each other and not go nuts! I check in at the KT every morning around 5 AM while my oldest is getting ready for school.

My name is Kevin. I live in Kingston Ontario, on the shores of beautiful Lake Ontario. I am an ordained minister with the United Church of Canada and serve at a small church (30-50 on a Sunday morning).
I share my life with a wonderful and understanding partner, Robert. We often joke about his problems being the "preachers wife"!!!
No kids, no pets, only houseplants that will soon be going to that great compost pile in the sky. (No green thumbs at my house)

hi, i'm kim from the great state of oklahoma, live about 15 miles outside of tulsa in a little town right on old route 66. i am a stay at home mom to two boys, one is 11 y/o and the other is just over 6 months. we do homeschool and enjoy it very much. i have a 23 year old son as well, who lives with his dad in maryland. i am also pregnant again with my 4th child. the pregnancy came a little sooner than we would have chosen, but we are very happy about it and we are hoping for a girl this time. my DH works very long and hard hours in landscape maintenance, a yard guy! he loves his work and as soon as the baby comes next spring, he will be starting up his own business full time. i like playing with my kids and sewing, crafting and i don't like laundry or cooking very much! LOL! i love getting online and looking all over the web at things that interest me, namely the kitchen table. i've been here since my good friend, peg in west virginia told me about it last april and i enjoy it a lot. i have a lot of fun here at times and learned some new things as well.

Just married - in fact October will be 3 months, I'm a research assistant by trade, but not working here in DE until I get the language down pat. Hobbies are traveling (which I will get to do a lot more of now) gardening, crafts, especially dollmaking and reading. I just turned 35 in September, was born in Shreveport LA. No kids, no plans for kids.... plans for a coarse haired daschund and maybe a couple of cats. It's nice to meet you all, but reading thru everyone is going to take a couple of visits. Gotta go! Kim P -Hi - I'm 43 and have taken the scenic route in life so far. Married right out of college (bad move), and then again too soon after. (Worse move) One chid from each (son 17, daughter 12) makes holidays a bit complicated. They're remarkably well adjusted - this looks really bad in print! Have a degree in music but returned to college after teaching for a few frustrating years to pursue my real love - science. Now I teach physics and chemistry and love it most days. Still keep up with my music - the one constant has been 25 years as a church organinst, although after a move a year ago, I'm just subbing these days. We moved from northern NY to LI. MY SO made a career change from teaching science to school administration. The job he found was on Long Island - 8 hours away!! Luckily, the district next door was in desperate need of a science teacher, so I was able to make the move, as well. We'll be married this spring and are hoping our new house will be finished in the next week or so.
kimmieboomboom~KY -Boy I been puttin this off...don't like talkin 'bout myself (HA!). Turn 44 today, feel 84. Live in South-East KY., where DH was raised. Moved here about 14 yrs. ago, but still considered a "Yankee" by most. Originally from Northern IN.. Have 3 DDs #1=23, goes to EKU; #2=21, goes to UK; #3=18, goes to UK; DS=14, freshman in HS & thinks he's the boss around here...Been married 24yrs. to the same hillbilly. Ran our own service station for 13yrs. till gov't. came out with new laws & tanks had to be removed. So I started college & DH has been an 'independent' (ie: self-employed & poor) truck driver for about 5yrs.. Hauls asphalt & gravel, work-aholic, good man, but like all a pain in the wazoo sometimes! I like to garden & can things, cook, read, crafts of all kinds, embroider & quilt. Also an E-bay fanatic. Love to go antique & flea-market shopping. Collect pigs, cookbooks, Santas & Snowmen. Kimmysue N-Ca. - I am kimberly aka kimmysue... I am now 28 years old... I have one husband,31 and a total computer gamer( everquest is his favorite now but its ok since I play it with him too)We met 7 years ago in the woods on a camping trip... I thought I am going to married him and he though jail bait, (he thought I was 14, I was 20)...Married 3 months later. He wanted it on Christmas but settled for the 20th... We do not have any kids... We are just started our second year of school becoming computer programmers. Graduate 2001... Both of us worked for a large computer company but after the Y2K deal didnt do anything we were let go, so trying to find jobs that let us off at 5 to goto school, bit hard but fingers crossed I will get hired at the lovely building across from my apartments and then I won't have to drive to work...We might have a kid in a couple years we want to finish school and stating paying the loans back( gulp) I love to cook and would like to cattier... I like plants... We own or own BY 5 persian cats... We have 2 computers so we ok ok I would not rip my husbands arms off and have to share...We have DSL and I made a small network with the 2 computers so we only need one DSL line... Would never go back to the normal internet service provider after DSL...We are in Northren California, born and raised and love it. Hi everyone, Have been an infreq. lurker for the past yr..do enjoy all the forums. I am 58, married for 28yrs. to a very special man, 4 DDs. Have been an ICU/ER nurse for many yrs. We purchased a resort on Hamlin Lake-N. of Ludington a yr. ago May--our future retirement--so have been very busy. Still drive to Grand Rapids to work once in awhile-it's over a hundred miles, so not too often. Husband still works there and comes home for long week-ends. Am leaving with 2 of our DD for E.Pa. Thurs..We are going to hit every flea market east of State College, And along the Delaware Gap--starting at Rogers-Ohio, Friday...if any of you know of any special ones going on out there this coming week-end,please email me before Thurs. Kris/Mid-South -Hi, I am Kris and new to the KT. I'm 47, been married for 29 years, and have 2 sons. DS#1 is 25 and lives nearby. DS#2 is 21 and away at college. We have a 5-year-old whippet, Dede, who has become our "child" now that we are empty-nesters. We have lived in Nashville for the past 20 years, but DH and I both grew up in Iowa. I love to cook, read, garden, needlepoint, peruse Ebay, and go antiquing. My husband is a health care consultant and I work from time to time for his business, mainly doing research. My DH and I enjoy participating in a couple's Precept Bible study. It's been fun getting acquainted with all you KTer's!

I am Kristy, 22 years old, married for almost 2 months to Josh (Krishua is Kristy and Josh put together), my highschool sweetheart. We dated for 5 looooooong years before finally getting married May 20! We both just graduated from Oklahoma State University-me with a degree in Early Childhood Education and smarty-pants with a Chemical Engineering degree. We have lived in Oklahoma all our lives and are currently preparing ourselves for a move to Urbana, Illinois where DH will earn his PhD at the Univ. of Illinois and I HOPEFULLY will find a job teaching! I absolutely love children and can't wait to start a family of my own (DH currently has other ideas but I am working on him). I like to read, write, draw, do crafts, do theatre, and watch movies. My dream is to one day be a writer of children's books. Whew! I think that is all...except, I am so glad that I found the KT! What a blessing this place has been!

Hello, I am Krissy (Kristine). I recently turned 22, I am a full time college student, studying
psychology and education. June 24 of this year will mark my one year wedding anniversary
to my sweetie. DH (Michael) works for a Linux company here in Indianapolis,Indiana and
owns a computer company that does work for local radio stations, I work at his business
when I am not in school or taking care of our recently down sized family, we now have 2
mini dachshunds, Ellie and Louis and two kittykats, Bailey and Gracie.
I enjoy reading, creating stainedglass art and trying to make my house look presentable.
Thanks to Glenda for starting this thread it is nice to get to know everyone, I am been here
at the KT for a little less than a month. :)

Another Kristie here! Married for 12 1/2 years. Have two wonderful sons, one just turned
10, and the other will be 6 in June. Work for DuPont in the Industrial Manufacturing area.
Have been there almost 2 years, and worked at a doctor's office 8 years before that (talk
about a career change!) I am a Vols fan, and one of these days I will get DH
to watch a
football game with me.

Hi I am Kristie, 25 and married for almost a year. I work full time as a coder in a hospital.
We have two cats (bailey and honey) and one spoiled rotton black lab Max who is still
being a puppy at 13 months old ( he keeps our hands full).
I have been getting wonderful advice, help, and shoulders on this forum and try to check in
every day.
No kids, hopefully someday soon.

My name is Christine, but Kwissie has been my nickname for years. I am 21 and study biology at the University of Western Ontario, located in London Ontario. I hope to get into the Audiology program here next year. My DH is 26 and works in Missasaga (however you spell that) at a Metrologist (even I don't know what that is, some kind of engineer). Hi my name is Debbie, I live in Long Island New York. I have 4 kids,, girls 25,23, & 17, a son 10 and a 2yr old grandson,, who I spoil terribly!! I enjoy collecting cookbooks, and cooking, I also collect porcelain dolls, I have 3 curio cabinets full of them. I am also a big coupon shopper,, my husband loves to see what I save with coupons when I shop! I work part time ( 35 hrs ) if you want to call it part time.

Hi Everyone~~ I think I've posted a grand total of--once, but come here just about every
day. I'm from a small town in Upstate New York. I'm 38 years old,have been married for
13 years, and am a SAHM of 2 boys and a girl who make my life worthwhile! We have an
Australian Shephard, and Miss Kitty, our cat. I collect music boxes, Precious Moment
figurines, and picture frames, among other things.I have just gotten into flower gardening,
and find it very relaxing to pull weeds!! It's nice to meet you all.
