Lana, who can't believe she's 58. Married almost 40 years to a wonderful guy. I live in a
small town in Kansas I have 3 children I am very proud of. My oldest daughter has a
Masters degree in nursing and is a Nurse Practitioner with her own practice in our town.
She has 2 children Andrea 14 & Matt 12. Daughter Pam is a Financial Aide Administrator for a Jr. College and has 4 children, Laura 15,Jessica 10, Tori 8 and Spencer 3. My son is a manager for a vending company. (so much for his BSN is music) He has 2 children Ashlynn 3 and Collin 6 mos. I really enjoy my children and grandchidren. I also love my
kids spouses. Couldn't have found better sons-in law or daughter-in-law if I have picked
them myself. I babysit all the time and I am constantly taking kids to practices, games,
appointments, etc. It seems like I am gone every night. The older kids are in sports and
Laura and Andrea are both Cheerleaders.
I am the Transportation Director at the local school. I have worked for the school for 26
years. I am also on the executive board of the Ks state pupil transportation assoc.
I used to do a lot of crafts and sew, but I don't seem to have the time anymore. I love to
read when I have the time. I sing at lots of local functions: church, weddings, funerals,
celebrations, etc. I have sung in public since I was 6 yrs old. I love all kinds of music and
sing a variety, but my favorite is probably gospel. Our great Pyranee and our Lhaso dogs
died within about a yr of each other so we have no pets right now.
We live in the country on 30 acres and love it. I also love to cook, but can't always find the time to do that, either.

Hi All -
Mostly a lurker and enjoy the KT tremendously! Have been here for 2+ yrs. Currently
off for the summer to take care of my most adorable 4 mo. baby boy, and 2 DD 12.5 &
11. Married 16 yrs. to a very fine cabinet maker and we are in the process of entirely
gutting the house we bought 3yrs. ago and renovating. Slow progress, but it will be well
worth it in the end (just hope we can afford the taxes).

Teehee. I have a DH of 21 years, DD 20, DS 19. I work at Target a couple of days a
week and DH is a big equipment mechanic. We have too many dogs and cats, at the
moment. I piddle with genealogy, gardening, baking things to enter in the fair, crafts.

Mostly a lurker here. Our town rests on the beautiful Mississippi River. Have been
married for 16 years to my contractor husband. I work part time for an Illinois
University. One DS and one DD 12 and 10 years old. DS is really into sports and DD is
really into music and acting. Have a golden retriever, Ranger; two cats Tiger and Opie (a
stray); a horse named Rooster; two hermit crabs Speedy and Gordy; and a tadpole that
WILL NOT turn into a frog. His name is Freckles. I really enjoy attending my kids
activities, cross stitching, working in my yard, and baking. I also help with DH's book
work as he is self employed.

I'm Laura, I've lived in Iowa every one of my 34 years except for 2 years in Texas. I'm an Accountant and Office Manager at a country club. Have one DD, 12, from my first marriage, and have been "thinking" about getting married again to my wonderful SO of 4 years. I'm not in any hurry, since it appears I wasn't very good at marriage. My daughter is a competitive figure skater, so I spend a lot of my non-working time running a taxi service to and from the rink. I also love to sew, am about to start on a new skating dress in the morning. I enjoy reading, bowling and of course, laughing and crying with you all here every chance I get. We have 3 cats and a chocolate lab who actually run the house, we are just visiting :)

I am 41, married to a veterinarian, have one son, almost 17.
I groom dogs and do non-profit consulting and freelance writing from home. We live on a
big farm in Western NY state with many animals. I do endurance riding, which takes me all
over the country riding 50 and 100 mile races on my Arabian, Music.

Lee Anna IN I've been here off and on since sometime in 98... at least I have emails from KTers that date back to then. I had to go check to make sure... Well, I'm a musician, SAHM, married for 7 years, had to be dragged out of my 20's kicking and screaming (it didn't help) - I still ended up 30. Love music, cooking, crafting, traveling, and talking to you guys. That's all I have time to say - really, I've GOT to be going - nope can't read one more... sorry ...well maybe just ONE more.

Lee Ct Hi, I'm a part time cashier at a local super market. Am 64 married 4l years this coming November (gee that's only a couple of weeks away) Have a son 36, a daughter 33. Have two grandkids, Lauren almost 5 and Erika 2 l/2. Enjoy crafts but haven't done much since I got my webtv. Love to read all the different posts.

LesleeOH - Oh dear! This is always a mind boggler! LOL;-)) I mean...I know who I was yesterday, but but but...today??? shoot!I'm Leslee with 2 e's. Mom and dad wanted to make sure they knew I was a girl. uh hum..makes you wonder just how ugly a baby I was doesn't it?;-))) I love to laugh and look for humor and wry wit in people that I get close to. I'm 43 years young now, and have a 12 year old son who just tickles me. Been married for 20years this year in April. Have been at the KT since the first October. Have many dear friends here, and just brought my first person ever ....whom I will call ShineyHead...because I just love her to death!!! She saved my sanity during a weird time in my life, and I'll always be indebted to her. But she can't make coffee worth beans so don't let her make it here or we'll be cleaning up the Kitchen floor!;-))) I have a dog we call Arfy the Happy Dog, because she was born with only the happy side of her brain, and a cat I call Tasha..alias Hissy Kitty who's 19 and has an attitude not unlike a crotchety old woman! We have a bunny named Gizmo, and a fish named Catfood. (getting rid of that dang fish...ick) I like to read, write, paint, and take wonderful walks by Lake Erie, in Cleveland, OH. Leslie central Wa -Hi everyone! I'm 41 and I've been married to husband #2 for 11 yrs. I have 2 DS from frist. 23 and 20 and DH and I have two DDs 10 and 5. I'm a SAHM that works on the side(cleaning new manufacture homes)I was born and raised in the Sacrameto Ca.area. I've been here in Washington for the last 9 years. I do go back to Ca. every year to visit my mom and brother.I love to garden,read,care for my wonderful family.. I'am very blessed. I spend alot of my time at my girls school, the rest of my time on the puter. Oh yea and I'm very Perimenopause these days.
Leslie/NH -Hello all, My name is Leslie and my family came to this country from Scotland way back when. Grew up on a seaside community north of Boston. Moved to NH 10 years ago and I love it! I have been married for 16 years come this March. I am 38 years old and work as an activities coodinator part time. I have three kids. A 14 year old girl and a 13 and 9 year old boy. Kids are all in sports so I am always on the go. Been coming to the KT for about a year and a half I think. Really nice people here I must say!

Well, I've tried to read them all but there sure are a lot. It's easier I guess if you keep up
with them every day, huh?
I think I'm the youngest here. I'm 21 and a SAHM to a two year old, whose birthday was
just over a week ago. My fiance'(24), our son and I live in central PA. My finace' and I
have been together for 3 years exactly in a couple days. No, we didn't exactly plan to have
a baby when we did but he's been a great gift and we are a very happy family. We have
two crazy cats that look almost alike and came from the same litter. (I have problems
telling them apart sometimes and have to double check). We also have a 6 month old part
black lab/husky mix dog in the house and a 3 year old coon hound outside. Oh, and the
one lonesome goldfish that our son has in his room.
I spend my time chasing my son around and doing crafts. I just started the crafting thing
about a year ago out of boredom. I'm obsessed now and have a million projects going at
once. My fiance' keeps telling me he won't let me buy anymore supplies until I finish the
others, but it isn't working! I'll also in a couple weeks be spending a lot of time at the ball
field because my fiance' plays slow-pitch softball. I'm sure our son will enjoy watching
Daddy play this year, at least better than he has the past two summers.
I just started visiting the KT and enjoy the wide variety of topics discussed. Everyone is
truly friends here if you can get on here and post about all the family and health problems
for everyone to read and give you advice and support! Thanks for the laughs and making
me feel like someone wants to listen to me once in awhile

Hi! I'm Liann without an "e".I'm 47yrs. young. I'm a native of So. Calif.
I've been a nurse for 24 yrs.- ER/Trauma and Peds.ICU. Married to DH for 6yrs. (no children and not by choice). DH says God gave me him to raise so I don't really need children. We have 2 loveable Shelties. I've had my computer since Feb. and still have alot to learn. We raise rare and unusual cacti and succulents from around the world like Africa, Somalia and Madagascar. I love the beach, bike riding, walking my dogs, gardening, most forms of stitchery, music, reading, movies, camping and travel. I was introduced to the KT by Lianne a few weeks ago and now have to have someone come in to clean my house cause "Honey, gosh I just can't find the time anymore with work and everything!" We're leaving in a few days to spend a week on a house boat on Lake Powell in Utah/Arizona with 2 other couples. I'm going to go through KT withdrawals and it won't be pretty!

I'm 42 and not getting ANY older uh-huh can't make me nope. Married 3 years 10 months tomorrow (really I'm not counting). Employed full time as secretary and i'm really tired of it but don't know what else to do. DH is a self employed mechanic working out of our place. Have a wonderful DSD who is engaged and may make me a grandma someday ihopeihope =o) No children, just furbabys, a cat and dog (who snuggles with DH more than I do). I dabble in gardening, drawing, photography, antiques/junque. Love reading, daydreaming, and long drives. And of course, the KT =o)

Hi. I'm Linda; 54, married for 10 years, 9 children between us (all grown), 10
grandchildren, and hubby has 3 great grandchildren. We live in north Georgia, retired, and
we have a Jack Russell Terrier named Jake and a cat named Stripes. I love to garden,
especially flowers, and quilt, sew, read, paint, and a lot of other crafts. My hubby is also a
recreational goldminer, so we do that a lot in summer, and camp while we're goldmining.
I'm fairly new to this forum, and lurk mostly, but everyone is so friendly. I love it here.

Hello everybody,i've been reading the post for the past couple of weeks and thought I would introduce myself. Married with 2 grown children,4 grandchildren 2 girls, 2boys. Work parttime and stay home to take care of DH.He had a stroke 3 years ago and is disable. So this computer is my life line to the outside world.I enjoy crafts and some cooking.Not much use cooking a lot when no one here to eat but me and DH.I'm 49 and DH is 51. Born in Ga. and raised in South Ga. and Florida. Lived in Florida most of my live. Orange County now Marion County,Fl Well I will let it rest at that.

Not a newbie, not a lurker, a occasional post responder. I love to relax at the end of the day and come to the KT to read and laugh and sometimes shed a tear. I'm 49, married 22 years, DD is 15, DS is 10. I love gardening!!! and love my dog Lucy who is an unattractive Jack Russell Terrier on the outside but a beautiful doggie person on the inside. We also are owned by a fat Golden Retreiver, a cat named Simba who hates us all unless he's in good mood and two parakeets that chirp all day long. I enjoy wildlife, watching the stars, love the beach!, music of all sorts, cars and good food. I don't work outside of the home now, but I use work at a variety of jobs before becoming a mother. Someday I may rejoin the work force but right now I am enjoying my family and my life as it is. That's all.

I'm Linda, 50 years old SAHM, married for 23 years, DD is 16, DS almost 11. Have 2 doggies, 1 cat, 2 parakeets. I love to garden, love roses and other flowers, love to change things around outside and inside the house. Like to read. I do some volunteer activities for church and kid's schools. Also have my 85 yo mother living close by now and am busy taking her to doctor's appts., the bank, grocery shopping, etc. I'm trying to do the best I can. Have recently begun an exercise program - one day of walking or doing an aerobic tape, next day free weights. I'm hoping this will give me better self esteem and more energy!! I can feel the difference already. I like to come to the KT to relax and laugh and sometimes cry along with you.

I work FT at a medical center(20 years), and PT at Home "Depo" (1 yr)... a place with great benefits and it's fun! I usually pop into the KT on my lunch hour. I joined WW last week, (it's pretty easy) time for those 30 pounds to leave my bod!!!

Hi Glenda & the kt gang, Turned the big 50 on May 2nd, any birthday twins? Both dh and I are native NY'ers, dd,at home studying to be a kndergarden teacher. Two cats, a calico named Marmalade,a grey one called Screamer, He already had that name before we got him at 9 wks old, just like the squeeky wheel that gets the attention,his is if I carry on long& loud enough, I will get the attention, although Marmalade goes by and cuffs him one, her way of saying Attention monger. I bowl on a league, not great, but I have an occasional real good game, last wek happened to be a174 Into crafts, the only things I can't get the hang of is knitting, or macrame, but everything else is fair game,especially like plastic canvas crafts,ceramics. I volunteer one day a wk at the naval hosp. as a red cross volunteer and that about sums it up for me,Linda-Va

Hello! My name's Linda and I live in N.C. with my daughter, Katie (15), and furbabies
Molly (black lab/chow mix), Sammi (min. schnauzer/beagle mix) and kitties Jake, Zoe and
Callie. I've been divorced for 12 yrs. and a little over 2 years ago, met someone from my
hometown (only an hour away - he was 3 yrs. ahead of my in h.s. and remember thinking
he was cute waaay back then but he was an upperclassman and a too cool for me!) and for
the first time have found the true meaning of being in love! I work thru a temp agency as
an admin. asst. but hopefully will have a permanent position very soon and we will be
married.
I enjoy gardening, woodworking (have a little shop with some really cool tools but got
away from it a couple of years ago but need a new project for motivation), cooking a little
and playing on the computer. Until recently I collected Boyds plush & resin, but am
running out of room so have sold a few on eBay and have 100's more to go. Have been
reading a Boyds BB for several years but never posted much or seemed to fit there, but
have been reading here for a few days and love it! Everyone seems very friendly and I love
the variety of topics y'all discuss. I'm pretty shy and standoffish but I'm going to try to read
every day and hope to get to know some of you better.

Hi, I am Linda and a wife, mother and grandmother. My husband and I own an auto repair shop and we both work in the shop. My husband is slowly taking more time off and hopes to retire soon. We are Christians and attend Christ Center Assembly Of God Church. Our four kids range in age from 39 to 29 and we have eleven grandchildren who range in age from 15 to 4. I love to travel, cook, read,and work outside in the yard and garden. I don't often post, but check in here every day to see who is at the table, love this group.

Hi everyone... I'm Lisa and am pretty new to the KT. I've already received some great advice from quite a few of you and find this forum so refreshing, I keep coming back. Problem is I'm so new that sometimes I'm nervous to put in my 5 cents' worth (Canadian, too)- you all seem like really close friends and no one knows me yet - you know what I'm trying to say! Anyway, I've recently turned 35 and work as a croupier in a casino (trained 3 years to be a Law Clerk/Paralegal but have not gone that route yet). I have 2 cats, one adorable 2 year old niece and another niece/nephew (?) arriving in approx. 3 weeks. (I'm soooo excited!!) I am recently single with no children, having broken off a nine year relationship but am looking to start a family with a wonderful guy (before it's too late - LOL). Feel free to put your heads together to help me out in that department if you know anyone..!

Lisa-AR -OK, I've been enjoying reading about everyong for a coule of days now so I guess it's my turn. I'm 42 and married. DH travels alot so I'm on my own most of the time and pretty independent. I'm a SAHM. Have one DS that is 22 and going to school in South Dakota, a 12 year old DD and am 8 year old DD. I was born in Illinois and since marriage have lived in North Dakota, South Dakota, Michigan and have been in Arkansas for almost a year. I love it here and don't ever want to leave. We have a house in the woods and it's very quiet and peaceful. I've recently developed a facination with chickens and have purchased a few that will entertain me for hours. I enjoy gardening but it's pretty tough here in the woods. I hate housework and spend as little time as possible cleaning and as much as possible on my computer.
Lisa-FL Hi all! I have been here for a couple of weeks now, but have not really told anything about me. Here goes, I live in central FL. with my husband of 5 wonderful years ( plus 5 before we actually got married ) and our two dogs, Loki and Turtle. He is a computer programmer and I work in the wholesale beauty industry. We are vegetarians- tried the new Tofurky for our Thanksgiving feast-YUCK!! My hobbies are reading, backyard gardening,and going antique-ing. My husband is basically into computing 24/7 , but he also likes astronomy. He has been teaching me to play Chess and says I am doing quite well- but I think he is just being sweet. We also seem to pick up every stray we come across, so we are always at the vet and searching for good homes for these poor animals. Some we keep. I also like painting ( faux- finishes and such) . I can't really think of much else off hand. I am truly enjoying my time here on this forum with everyone! I can't wait to get home from work and see what's been going on here. : )

I have really enjoyed the KT and the mailing lists I have joined since I got my 'puter 4 years ago. Been on the KT for about a month or so now.

I am 32 years old with 1 DD (Tayden - 7) and 1 DS (Logan - 4). I have been happily married for 14 years. Have lived in Florida all of my life. My kids are my biggest hobby - love to spend all my time with them, unfortunately I work full time for the school board and don't have as much time as I would like, have worked there 13 years. I enjoy reading (when I have time) and also like to lurk at the crafting forum and occasionally try my hand at some of the easier ones. Only pet is DD's Beta named Pokemon.

city's primary school and a lunch lady for the local high school. Yep call me CRAZY

years in Sept. I don't know how he has managed to put up with me that long.
I love to read,do cross-stitch and work in my flower beds.Irises are my favorite. I also

I'm 45, married 26 years. Two DS, one 15 and one 11. We live in the country in rural north Missouri. We bought the home of our dreams on 130 acres of rolling green hills about 1 1/2 years ago.
I'm an administrative assistant, DH is manager of a feed/seed/fertilizer agbusiness. DS's are involved in Boy Scouts (oldest is completing requirements for Eagle Scout), golf, baseball, and the youngest loves to play football.
We love the outdoors, fishing, wildlife, mushroom hunting, and being hermits. I like to read and flower garden and crochet.

gave up after 30 seconds..Been here since day one and it's a great place to be!! Married to
a wonderful man, Greg for 21 years this May ..Two great boys, Alex 13 and Carson
9..Lots of furkids, Two Collies, Duncan and Gabe, Two kitties, Mama and her baby Izzy
and one Hampster named Homer..I've been a Flight Attendant for a major airline stationed
here in Atlanta for 23 l/2 years..try to work as little as possible so I can be home for the
kids..Dh works for Nasa in their air traffic control division!! Hobbies are photography,
puting, flea markets and getting to know all of you!! Happy Trails!!..Whose next?

Been hanging on the KT for a year or so and LOVE it here! Lots of friendships made and lots of caring and love.
Interest wise, I collect snowmen, Boyd's frogs, and I love to craft and make homemade bath salts.

I'm LJ from Manitoba, and is it ever cold here! I'm 31, married 6 years to dh, 33, we're a military family, two kids, boy 6, girl, 3. Two cats, two goldfish and one damnation (oops I mean dalmation!) I'm a stay at home mom, go to school part-time and look after three kids during the week. When I have spare time (rarely) I try to read, do crafts, and mostly hang out on the 'puter!

I am 45, live in northern Utah on a small ranch (about 600 acres). We raise cattle, horses
and kids as well as dogs, goats and cats. Basically I am a SAHM but write and
photograph for a Wyoming Newspaper (published twice a week) and I work at home. I
also do freelance photography and I specialize in rodeo and high school sports. I have two
daughters, 13 and 11 and one DH of fifteen years.

lori-mi -MY turn! Lori from the Great state of michigan. Where the colors are just about at peak right now. and I'm sure the snow is right at our back door. I am married to a great guy named bob who works as a printer. We have 3 children- katelyn-17, a nice young lady who is into the computer BIG time. she wants to work in the field of advertising next year after gradution. Kyle is my middle child. he is 13 - in 8th grade where is is getting all A'S. He plays for the north macomb travel soccer club.(undefeated so far this year). Is caption of his team and a very nice kid. Then we have Kevin- he is 10-until sunday. in the fifth grade and also plays for the same travel soccer club. His season is over until after the holidays then he starts indoor soccer. He LOVES pokemon, and eating. He is a very big boy for his age. i see him standing at least 6'7 when he done with his growing. Now for me- I am a part time stay at home mom. part time para at the schools-part time office cleaner-part time candle seller- and full time Mom. I run all the time with them. keeps them out of trouble. I love to garden and play bunko. I am known as the plant lady. I'm 46 - and feeling it. great to read about all of you. Oh- have been here at the table from the start. but lately have just not posted. i am waiting for the time we can all talk and not have to type. I don't think it will be long. well nice to meet all of you.

I mentioned a while ago that I was looking for a new job. Well I got one!!!I have been in the transportation field for close to twenty years and this new job is in the computer supply industry. Which is the new challenge--I truthfully told them that I know next to nothing about what makes a computer tick. I had jokingly said if I ever got a new job, I'd have to find out if they are on the internet--I didn't ask but being in computers I certainly hope so. This is my last week here and don't know when I'll be able to post to KT. Learning about computers and all. I have made a list of all my "favorites" and KT is at the top. So know I'm thinking of you all and will post as soon as I'm able to. Thanks for the laughs--Lor

Hi Ladies! My Name Is Lorri And I Am 26. I Have Three Sons, All Under The Age Of 5. I Really Have My Hands Full! I Love My Job As A Stay-At-Home Mom. It's Pretty Challenging Though. I/We've Recently Experienced The "First Day Of School Jitters". Never Realized How Much Of A Big Deal Kindergarten Would Be. I've Been Married For 5&1/2 Years And Still Love/Hate It! At The Same Time, Wouldn't Be With Anyone Else! Brand New To Kt. Just Signed On Last Night, And I Already Love It Here! Thank You For Your Welcome!

luckeyme Hi. My name is Judy. Good friends/family call me Lucky. I've been at the KT for several weeks. I think I'm addicted..I mean look at the time and I have to get up early tomorrow. I'm 57, married my 3rd grade sweetheart, 3 children, 4 grandchildren, 1 dog and 2 cats (many more claim us). Live in country, passion for flower gardening (especially roses), love the outdoors, used to travel extensively (note: I said 'used to') and learned to turn a computer on 2 months ago. Currently, I am taking care of DM and DF also, in our home. It's a joy getting to know each of you. I think I'll keep showing up for coffee and cheesecake!

I'm Lucy and I live in NYS also. I am married with one son, well really step son, husband's
by previous marriage, but he's now 23!! I am a mental health therapist and I work in the
local county clinic so mainly with "chronic" mentally ill persons who can't afford a private
therapist. I LOVE it. I have many pets--cats and dogs. I enjoy hiking and post on the
Hiking and Backpacking forum as well, and also some of the nature ones. Aside from that I
am a busy person and don't get to come on here except weekends, but I am glad to see
some people "explain" themselves, LOL. Keep an eye out for me as I miss a lot but I will
post where and when I can!

I was born in Seattle, Wash. on Jan. 3, 1947. Moved to Dana Point, Calif. in the summer of 1957. Oh, I guess this is going to get too long, so to make a long story short, I now live in Oregon with DH of 12 years. I garden and keep house for two sweet kitties. DS, DSD, live in Calif. The computer was a gift from DS when he visited on vacation in April, so I am learning a lot of new things online and love the KT.
Lynae-OR1011 -Glenda thanks for doing this. I was just thinking that we should do a post like this again. Heheh Great minds think alike! So about me.....I just turned 35, married with one very beautiful, wonderful, smart and funny 10 year old DD. Pls pray for me when this child starts to date! We live just outside Portland, Or. We have 3 cats, one is 18 the other 5 and the last about 2. The last two choose us so we must be good people...LOL. I work fulltime + at a job I enjoy sometimes and volunteer at my DD school 1 day a week. I too have been here since they were still putting up the new cabinets in the kitchen. I love to read. But my all time favorite things to do is Garage and Estate sales. I visit as many antique shows as I can, and collect what ever strikes my fancy. Now I am off to a soccer game, so I guess you could say I am a soccer Mom too. Lynae

Hi, Lynne here I live in Michigan been here my whole life which will be 50 in a few
months. I work for Hillers Market in the meat dept. been their for the last 14 years. I have
been married for the last thirty years to Martin my DH.
We have three children one 29 year old son, and two daughters, 27 and 22 years old. We
lost our dear granddaughter Sage this past Oct.
Also in our home is one dog (big) named Rebel and two cats Ashely ( fat-cat) and Simba
the (skinney one).
I love to read, listen to music, garden when I have time and plain relax.

repeating for those who missed the first time... Lynn in Big D here, married to John for 13 years, and we're kidless by choice. I think my dear step-father would have heart failure if I started having kids, as my sister has 3 girls all under age 5, LOL! I'm the Ad Manager for his company and love, love, love my job as it allows me to visit the KT on a regular basis. We're owned by 3 furkids: Maxxi, Mikki, and Maggie Mae (mini red smooth dachsies). I love reading, going to movies, infrequent crafting, and being in the sun near large bodies of water. But my passion is my work...I love my Macs ;-)
