Tahni -Tahni slowly rises..Hi. My name is Tahni..and I'm a KT Addict. I was invited to the KT by a wonderful lady named Pat. I peeked in and there was a post welcoming me that knocked my socks off. I felt very welcome..even if KimmieBoomBoom did make me do dishes. I live in Northern California..I am a bartender, graphic artist and I cook for people. I'm single, I have no pets, no children, and no one to answer to. (My 6 older brothers and sisters don't know that they are not my boss.. they try. They are all in their 40's, and none of them are under 6'.. but when I get riled.. they listen !! LOL) I'm stubburn..and I tend to act first, think second.I love the outdoors.. but hate to hike. I'll walk all day long if it's up or down a creek.. or hunting, but going up a mountain just to come back down doesn't make sense to me. I love everything that has to do with water.. the way it looks, tastes, smells, sounds. I like oceans, rivers, streams, and mud puddles. I love rain too. My favorite foods come out of the water.. shrimp, shellfish, all fish. I also like artichokes and avacados. MY favorite thing in the world is watermelon though. My whole house is covered in watermelons. My favorite thing to do is laugh.If the way to a man's heart is through his stomach, the way to mine is through my funnybone..lol. Talley Sue I live in Queens, NY. I'm 39 (oh my goodness, I'm almost 40!) married and have two kids (24-mo.-old boy & 5.5-yr-old girl), so you know what I do in my spare time. I got to That Home Site from the home remodeling forum (we hope to redo our kitchen this spring; pointers welcome), and am hooked, but trying to get the hang of short, witty, helpful posts. I work in NYC on magazines as a copyeditor and production person (currently associate managing editor of a thick, glossy weddings publication), but pls don't hold any typos here against me. And I hate those acronyms too.

Hi! I'm a VP of Finance for a motion picture studio, married 12 years to a wonderful guy and we have 9 adopted stray cats - four of whom have chronic illnesses and I give a variety of meds and treatments daily. No kids by choice. I have two undergraduate degrees (one in Science and the other in Arts) and a master's degree in business administration from UCLA.
I'm a member of Mensa and have been mentoring a gifted at-risk young lady for almost 5 years now (gosh, I can't believe it's been that long!). This has been an extremely rewarding relationship that I cherish.
Hobbies include cats, gardening (especially hybrid tea roses) and playing the Celtic harp. Classical music is my first love, but I also love Big Band. I used to do counted cross stitch but these days there's more fur than floss in the needlework so that went by the wayside. LOL!
I'm addicted to Ebay. I collect Fitz & Floyd decorative pieces, Boyds bearstones & purrstones (naturally), Dept 56 lighted houses and Radko ornaments. I enjoy Stephen King and Harry Potter, but don't have much time for a lot of reading.
I hate cooking. I used to love baking until I reached an age when it became dangerous to have so many fattening goodies around the house :(
Tami AZ on Mon, Sep 25, I'll be 42 on Dec. 29th. Was born in Indiana, raised in Phoenix, AZ since I was a baby. Married DH 2-14-82, have 1 DD and 2 DS - all in their teens now. Have known DH since 4th grade. Also have 6 furbabies-2 dogs and 4 cats. Am a SAHM for as long as I can get away with it!! Have worked in the past in the food industry, in retail, as a nail tech, and in office work. Really enjoy crafting of any kind, I try to pretend I can garden, love to bake, wished I was more diciplined to exercise, but I do enjoy the outdoors, and since finding this site in August-never have time to do much of anything!! I am one who sits in the background until I feel I have something to offer but I listen real well! Glad to meet all of you!!
Tammy I'm 36, live in NE Ohio, married 5 years to a wonderful man, 1 DD, will be 4 in Feb.(already?) Im a SAHM, very active in my DD preschool, and I also like to garden, read, excersize (well, 'like' is a strong word, LOL), and cook. My mom and stepdad bought us this computer for an early Christmas present, and I love it!

way to be born in 2 1/2 weeks. i am non practicing licence cosmetologist, and am a
dietitian- working toward becoming a CDE (certified diabetes educator).. i am very into
baking and cooking and have spent years on perfecting the best cookies, meatloafs etc and
then i am going to publish a cookbook so that has kind of been my passion for a while.- i
also love to sing and to do crafts

I'm new to the KT, been here a couple of weeks. I'm 37, a native of Missouri. Now living in the country for the first time in my life. I love it! I have a wonderful hubby of 18 yrs. and a terrific son that is 15 (16 soon!). We now have only one sheltie, our beloved Tiana ran away yesterday. So it is a sad time for us. She was 11 yrs. old and a little sick. We think she may have ran off to die, since she never ran off. Our other sheltie is Samantha, she's almost 2 and a bundle of energy. I've done office type work all my life, but have carpal tunnel so am a housewife, for the first time in my life. Trying to find some type of work I can do without using my hands/arms--not easy to do I might add. I really enjoy the KT and hope to make lots of friends here!

Teri I'm 54. Come Jan. I'll be married 35 years. Have 1 married daughter, 1 married son; no grands. 1 small dog, 1 large dog, 1 huge cat. I've lived in NY State all my life; 44 years downstate, 10 years upstate in the mountains. I love reading, sewing, knitting, crocheting and crafting. Have held various jobs outside the home, including running a video store. Right now DH is full-time job, as he's retired and just returned home from the hospital after injuring his leg. Oh yes, I've even driven a forklift for a few years at a Wal Mart distribution center. If I could find a part-time job that's interesting, I'd take it...just so that married bliss doesn't get overdone.

Hi, My name is Terri, and I live in the Pacific Northwest....On a very large island to be a
bit more precise...I am a SAHM of 3 handsome boys, ages 9,4 and 1. I love working in
the yard, I have a veggie garden, rose garden, several flower beds, 3 dwarf fruit trees and
this year I've started some black and red raspberries and am working on a bird and
butterfly garden. This year I have gone completely organic in the yard too.
Well Geez...I didn't know it was a planet, star, moon thing....
I don't get to fancy with that stuff, but Hubby and I are Cancers and the boys are all
BULLheaded....ooops I mean Taurus'...

I work for Shar-MO as a receptionist in a hospital clinic. She got me started on KT about 2 mos. ago and I really enjoy spending my free time here with you all. I don't have any pets as we are not allowed to have them where we rent. My hobbies are reading (I am a Christian so I stick mainly to reading my Bible), making crafts, crocheting and chatting with friends on the Internet. I am Tom from Wisconsin. I check in on occasion during the day mainly. I have been married to a wonderful woman for 23 years this July. We have two children, a daughter who graduates from high school in a week or so and a son who is 15. We have a sheltie that is five years old. I work in an office all week, so I enjoy being outdoors and doing just about anything outdoors here in Wisconsin. We love to travel around the U.S. and are trying to visit every national park. We do have a ways to go, but it is fun.

Hi! My name is Toni, and for now I'm living in KY. I'm getting married THIS
SATURDAY (May 26th) and moving to future DH's state, so soon I'll be Toni - MA.
I'm 34 years old, and up until a week ago, I worked for the local DMV. I'm currently
'voluntarily unemployed' so I can finish wedding plans and pack up my apt. I have a 'giant'
cat (20 lbs.) named Josie, after the old cartoon "Josie & The Pussycats". My future DH is
divorced and has a DD who is 17. He also has a red dachschund (sp?) named Sydney.
I enjoy reading, going to movies, and of course hanging out at the KT! I've only been here
a few months, but I've found that the people here are really nice and always open to
making new friends. Thanks for making me feel welcome, folks! :-)

Hi, I'm Trina. I'm 36, been married for 16 years, SAHM with 2 kids (11&7). I love playing on computers and found the KT a couple of months ago. I like to read, ride bikes, take walks and spend time with my family. I volunteer at my kids schools, at church and help a friend out with her office a few times a month. DH and I are currently remodeling a house to sell, so we can use the profit to help finance a new house in the country with 5 acres or so. My husband works 60 miles away, and can't wait to move so he won't have to drive so far every day. I am not crazy about moving, but need to support hubby. Hoping to get it done this summer before DS starts 7th grade next year. I am really enjoying KT.
