Val in WY on Fri, Oct 6, 00 Hi there, I'm Val. DH and I are
nearing our 9 yr mark in Dec. We are the proud parents of 3 boys. Our oldest is almost 7 (with the
chicken pox right now) and our twin boys will be 4 in Dec. (Hopefully they are next with the chicken
pox.) I enjoy gardening and quilting and am in love with my computer. I also have been enjoying being
a part of the KT. It is fun and you guys keep my laughing, thinking and pondering at all times!
Verna-CA I'm 59, married 40 years to high school sweetheart, DH was in the AF for
20 years, lived in Europe 8 of those years, originally from Amarillo area but have lived in Central CA
the last 23 years. 2DD 29 & 26 and 3GC. Teacher's aide in Sp. Ed. Used to sew (before KT) and love
recipes. Love the Lord and busy in church activities. Try to read post here daily.
Vicki--NV I am 41 years old and live in Las Vegas. I am originally from South
Dakota and Iowa. I have lived in Vegas (or the suburbs) for going on 20 years and still call the
Midwest home. I have been married for 5 years to a great guy. I have 2 boys from my first marriage,
Kiel (pronounced Kyle) and Kelly. My boys...all 3 of them, are the light of my life. My DH and I work
together in party rentals and we keep pretty busy in the bright lights, big city of Las Vegas. I used to do
a lot of crafts, but our walls and flat surfaces got too full and the computer came along. I love a good
book and tend to re-read them, if they are really good. I have also been around the KT, since it first
opened. I don't get as much time to post as I would like to, since we sometimes work A LOT of
hours...but I do come in and read daily.
Vicki in MO, - I live in north Missouri in the
country. I am 40-something. I am an administrative assistant and DH manages an agribusiness. Two
DS - one 14 and one 10. Married for 25 years, born and raised in Iowa (Hey Mary-IA, when I was a
kid in the 60's we lived for a little while near Gilbert, Iowa. Sounds like you live close to there.)
Always will be an Iowegian at heart. Hobbies - walking, watching wildlife including birds, flower
gardening, reading, being a Mom-taxi, eating (but I just started a new diet today). Look forward to my
kids being more self-sufficient, i.e. driving themselves!!
vicki on Thu, Oct 12, 00 Hi everyone, I am new to the KT, but,
not to THS.. I post over at the parents of teen, and the Marriage Forum also, but here I have found
everyone to be as sweet and as loving as would my next door neighbor... Thanks to you all... I am 44
yrs young, and have been married to the same man for 26 of those years.. HE is truly my best friend. I
married him young, and we grew up together.. We have 4 children, 2 boys, and 2 girls.. 2 of them are
raised and out of the house, and 2 are still at home.. Boy, are they giving me some youth back..lol.. I
also have 2 grandbabies now, who mean the world to me.. We live in a small town in Indiana.. Have
lived here all my life. I work P/T outside the home working with problem teens, and adults who have
problem children. I love to write, sew, and work around the house. My dh and I have restored 4
houses, and he has taught me everything from drywalling to tearing a wall down.. I can do most
anything when it comes to houses..lol.. I love my family, and I love G@d...

I'm 53,
widowed this last September, have 4 grown-up kids - 2 DD. 33 and 31, and 2 DS. 27 and
23. Have 4 beautiful, (naturally), grandchildren. 3 DGS, 10, 8, and 6, and 1 blonde,
blue-eyed beauty, "Princess of Quite A Lot" 3. My hobbies are crafting, reading, and
listening to music - mainly the BeeGees, Enya, and Andrea Bocelli. Quite a selection, huh?
Haven't been doing too much since DH sudden passing, but am trying to cope and do more
each day. I don't work - even though I have my teaching certification. Have been coming
to the KT since Oct. of '98, but usually lurk, don't post much.
Vivian Oh-on Sun, Oct 15, 00 K, here goes: 35 female, sorta single (live
with my boyfriend), married once. Work at home as a medical transcriptionist and shuttle my
boyfriend's two kids, 9 and 6, back and forth to school. We have a dog, Kira, who is quite spoiled and
absolutely wonderful and one ancient goldfish. We live in Bedford, Indiana (southern Indiana) in an old
house just recently put on the National Historic Register, and spend most of our spare time fixing on
the place or gardening. We love NASCAR, Colts football, Pacers basketball, and Churchill
Downs--Louisville being only an hour away. I spend a great deal of my time taking care of my mom
who no longer drives. I also sew and quilt--when the weather prohibits gardening, and have become
way too addicted to the GardenWeb/That Home Site boards. Nice to meet you all! Okay, I think that
about covers it.... Vivian
