This Poet's Soul
by
Joey Camiré
Before this poet even writes a single line
He searches deep in him for inspiration.
His soul finds it all in the stars that shine.
In
all the beauties striking his imagination.
But along came you and your splendors.
The sweetest sounds he has ever heard.
They occupied his mind that now wanders
And
whispered every single written word.
As the words, in rhyme, now take place,
The page, one line at a time, is covered.
The feelings are expressed pace by pace,
Their
real meaning is yet to be discovered.
Words become the lyrics of a love song,
Destined to express emotions, to touch.
Telling the untold and singing the unsung,
This
anthem proclaims I love you so much.
This poem is meant to be a special tribute
To your heart, that most treasurable gem
And to your soul, your very finest attribute.
This
poet wouldn't be one without them.
