Karalsah looked at her gold dragon. She was an adult now. In fact, Karalsah was thinking to herself, so am I. She had had her 20th birthing day not too long ago as a matter of fact. She glanced at her dragon once more. She was looking more golden than normal. More golden? Was that even possible?

Karalsah looked once more at Elanith. She was more golden which could only mean..... Karalsah sat down. Now that she thought about it, Elanith had been acting rather moody lately. She didn't want anyone other than her rider to come anywhere near her. She had even been a bit short with Karalsah a few times. There was only one thing that could be happening. Elanith was about to fly! As realization hit her, she smiled at her dragon who glanced up at her.

"What are you smiling at?" her dragon asked curiously.

"I just realized that you are about to fly. That's all," Karalsah said lovingly. "Do you have any bronzes or browns in mind for your mate?"

"Mates! Them! Those bronzes can only dream of catching me, and those browns don't even stand a chance," she replied huffily.

Karalsah went to her dragon's side and calmed her. As she stroked Elanith's eyeridges, she thought about who would catch her queen in flight.
