Personality: Ardini is a very independent sort of person. She likes to do things her own way and prefers if other people to do things her way as well. Being a middle child, she craves attention, and she can be quite rude and selfish when she doesn't get it. She also hates being left by herself. She's stubborn and very headstrong, but she tends to be a bit clutzy. She loves to swim and doesn't like to read since she sees it as a waste of time, but she also hates it when others point out her illiteracy especially since it's really her own fault for not studying.
History: Ardini was born as the third of six children to a miner father and a servant mother. Being the middle child, she was often mildly neglected since both of her parents were usually busy with other things, and as many children do, she decided that if she couldn't get attention the good way, she'd try the bad one. So, she grew up rather rude and selfish since it seemed that was the only way to get the attention she wanted.
Aridini's father died in a mining accident when she had just twelve turns. Although the loss was sad, it didn't affect her all that much since she rarely saw him anyway. Aftwerwards, though, her older brother with whom she was already close made it a point to spend more time with her and to try to guide her into a respectable craft of some kind. He had chosen to study at the Healer Hall and soon left home leaving Ardini in the care of her mother.
Ardini's mother worked in the kitchen of the Lord Holder, and her oldest daughter had followed her footsteps. She wanted Ardini to do so as well, but Ardini had other plans. She wanted to follow her brother to the Healer Hall, but her mother saw this as pointless. Given Ardini's personality, her mother thought that it would be impossible for her to treat others in their times of illness. Ardini persisted, however, and left for the hall when she had fourteen turns.
Ardini progressed very slowly. As her mother had perdicted, her rude and selfish nature prevented her from treating her patients the way she was supposed to. Her unwillingness to study didn't help either, and she was on the verge of calling it quits and going home when she was Searched for a special clutch. Ready to leave the hall anyway, she agreed without hesitation.
