South Carolina Photo Gallery

In this gallery, I will include pics of various roads within the state of South Carolina. The above picture is of North Carolina 522 South entering South Carolina, and from this point, NC 522 will continue as SC 522 in the Palmetto State.

Interstate 77 South at US 21 in Fort Mill. This marks Interstate 77’s first exit in the Palmetto State after leaving North Carolina.

Interstate 385 South at South Carolina 49 in Laurens. This button copy signage marks Interstate 385’s final exit before reaching Interstate 26 near Clinton.

Interstate 585 South at US 221 in Spartanburg. This button copy signage marks Interstate 585’s second exit in route to downtown Spartanburg from Business Loop 85.

Interstate 526, Business Spur 526 and a Hurricane Evacuation Trailblazers in Mount Pleasent.

Interstate 526 West at Interstate 26 in Charleston. These button copy signs mark where Interstate 526 West meets 26 in Charleston just to the east of the Charleston International Airport.

Interstate 26 West at Interstate 526 in Charleston. This marks where Interstate 26 West meets 526 in Charleston just to the east of the Charleston International Airport.

Interstate 126 West at the Riverbanks Zoo in Columbia. This overhead should read Interstate 126 instead of just Interstate 26 at this location.

US 17 North at Interstate 95 in Hardeeville. These overheads are located on US 17 North in Hardeeville at Exit 5. What is unusual is that Jacksonville is used as the southbound control city for 95 in lieu of Savannah.

Interstate 26 East at US 601 in Orangeburg.

Interstate 85 South at Interstate 385 in Greenville. This is the only remaining button copy sinage for the 85/385 junction along I-85 in Greenville as of 7/17/2003.

Interstate 85 South at US 276 in Greenville. These button copy signs were still standing in Greenville as of 7/17/2003 as well.

Interstate 77 South at South Carolina 277 in Columbia. The South Carolina 277 freeway serves as a more direct connection between I-77 South and I-20 West about two miles north of the 77'20 junction.

Interstate 26 West at Business Loop 85 South in Spartanburg. This picture shows the BGS at the exit from Interstate 26 west to Business Loop 85 south in Spartanburg. This Business Loop also marks the former routing of Interstate 85 through Spartanburg. As indicated by the sign, Interstate 85's new routing is located 3/4 of a mile to the north of this interchange.

Interstate 185 South at 85 in Greenville. This image shows the final approach to Interstate 85 from 185 south in Greenville. This exit also marks the historic southern end of 185. Now 185 continues on for another 14 miles as a toll road, after this junction, before reaching Interstate 385 in Mauldin at its southern end.

Interstate 20 West at Exit 18 in Aiken. This is the one-mile guide sign for South Carolina 19 in Aiken from Interstate 20 westbound. The shield next to the SC 19 one is to indicate that this is also a South Carolina senic drive.
