The mission of Hardcore Devotion is to spread the Gospel of Christ to lost youth, especially those who are interested in rock, hardcore, metal, etc. music. This site is intended to show people who have never known Christ (or who have received the completely wrong impression of Him from the world and confused religious leaders) who He really is and what He has for them. It is intended to help bring people to Christ, and guide them in their Christian walk once they are there. It is intended to show the world that some of the Christian churches have lost their focus and true calling, it is a real problem, and if they were hurt or misguided by these churches, this site wants to help them find God, not religion. This site is intended to become a huge ministry tool and one day be an online haven for all hardcore Christians.

I, Amanda (site moderator and owner), personally feel very strongly called to youth ministry. I want people to know who I am, so they know who writes the devotions and runs the site, who does the research and updates once a week. I am an on-fire charismatic Christian filled with the Holy Ghost and proud of the fact that I speak in tongues. I believe that there is a huge fault in the Christian church that the world can see better than we can, and it's that there's too much religion and not enough Jesus. There's too much ceremony and too much formality and "tradition." Most of the church has lost the gifts that the Holy Spirit brings and believe that these gifts are dead. Without the gifts of the Holy Spirit, one cannot be an effectual witness for Christ. Christ has commanded us to "go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you." (Matthew 28:19-20a NIV) I take that to heart and do whatever I can to witness to others. I focus my ministry on youth, because they are my peers and I can help them better understand what it means to be a child of God and a Christian. My mission is to show young people that being a Christian is not about religion, it's about being in love with God and being grateful for the sacrifice Jesus made for them on the cross. I use my talents in web design to minister, and hope to use every talent God has given me to fulfill His call on my life.
