The Pittsburgh La Cosa Nostra family is known as the LaRocca-Genovese Crime Family and has had the ability to stay relatively quiet and under the radar throughout its existence. A thirty year reign from Sebastian "John" LaRocca followed therafter by a twenty year reign of Michael Genovese, both of which saw the Godfather of the Pittsburgh LCN dying of natural causes and outside of prison walls, gave the family what one would deem stability. However, the Pittsburgh LCN is also on its last legs, the family has not "made" any new members, or at least reported members, since 1987. With a lack of young Italian-Americans venturing in to a life of organized crime in the Pittsburgh area, like so many other LCN families outside of the Northeast and Chicago, the Pittsburgh family is near extinction. Most of the remaining membership has grayed with age, even if the FBI can't put these aging Mafiosi behind bards, the Pittsburgh LCN will be no more shortly, unless the books open and some young Italians take the oath of Omerta.
