Bass Guitar

Given the sheer number of bassists who have played with us so far, (a different one for each gig, believe it or not), it would be unfair to mention any one in particular, although Jonny Woddin is technically our regular, and it was due to no fault of his own *cough* Stonehouse *cough* that he didn't play in our first gig. HIs replacement was the vastly superior Ashley Myall, who really had no right bringing his talent to a group like ours, and we are ever grateful that he did. Mark Portnoi filled in for the "anti-Jonny" period, and played in our Rock Night gig, which included an impecible Bass solo, so thanks for that Mark. Incidently, the picture is of Mark, demonstrating to us all he can clap in time and play the bass, just scratching the surface of his many talents.

And last but not least, Jonny Woddin, always up for just about anything, if it wasn't for him who else would have joined us with cowboy hats to play Take That's "Want You Back" at the leavers concert? Thanks Jonny for your often understated, but always appreciated performances as our "proper" bassist. My one abiding memory of you has to be the one did you DID make, sitting in the most casual of positions, adorned with classic cowboy look, just jamming coldplay with us in front of an audience used to classical music; that we carried it off with such aplomb is still miraculous to me.
