The Greatest Loss

Praying softly, there she was
But something happened without a cause
Everything seemed fine, until a sound
Alerted all of us all around
But Aeris didn’t seem to mind
She was still praying fine
Then, out of the sky, we had seen
Sephiroth with his Masamune, his face so mean
We tried to stop him, but it was too late
He thrust his sword through Aeris and sealed her fate
Cloud rushed up to him crying and said
“Why did you do something I dread?”
He sobbed and cried until Sephiroth exclaimed
“Why are you crying?! Isn’t that lame?”
Cloud stood up and softly spoke
“You don’t know the feeling, my heart is now broke.”
Sephiroth fled, leaving us in pain
This was a total loss for us, but for him a gain
Aeris was dead; there was nothing to do
Everyone cried, with never a clue
Aeris was still with us, and she always will be our friend
She’ll be watching over us, even past the end
