What is D.O.T.?
D.O.T are the "Defenders of Tracey", first set up on the Message-Board of Team Rocket Headquarters NEXT
It is for people who are sick of all these "Let's find ways to tourture/kill
Tracey" topics on message-boards on fanfiction websites. It is for people
who actually like Tracey.
Comments on the defense of Tracey: what people who hate Tracey argue and
ways to counter it.
"I want Brock back! Tracey's replacing Brock!"
Shadowcat's counter-argument: Tracey is not exactly a Brock replacement,
Brock is set to return. Many people do not give Tracey a fair chance as a
character because they have become attached to Brock and see Tracey as only
a replacement-character. This does not take Tracey's personality
differences into account. People should learn to veiw Tracey not as he is
compared to Brock, but as a unique character.
"He's just Brock without the charm"
Shadowcat's counter-argument: This is a response to his drawing of pretty
girls as well as pokemon. It seems that our little artist does have
something in common with ol' Brocko, an appreciation for attractive women.
What typical teenage-guy doesn't? Many people who like Tracey, however,
would argue that Tracey is more mature in dealing with the opposite sex than
Brock. Where Brock gets hyper, drools, and asks nearly every female he
meets to date him, Tracey is...more subdued. This, at least I feel, gives
him lots of charm.
"Why does he drool over Prof. Oak?"
Shadowcat's counter-argument: A comment NOT to be taken out of context.
Think about it, many people have famous people that they greatly admire.
While Tracey does seem a little overly excited with celebrity-worship
concerning Prof. Oak, how many people wouldn't get excited about meeting
their idols?
Want to be a D.O.T.?
Are you a part of a minority? Do you find short, dark hair, red headbands,
and Marrils absolutely adorable? Are you sick of seeing all those "Ways to
torture/kill Tracey" things on fanfiction sites and on "Pokemon"
message-boards? Then join D.O.T, the "Defenders of Tracey"!
Disclaimer: We are not responsible for certain hazards in becoming one of
this elite group of bodyguards, including but not limited to: Run-ins with
Team Rocket, bites by annoyed Marrils, similar injuries by annoyed Scythers,
or being pelted with rotten tomatoes by Tracey-haters.
Duties: Whenever you see Tracey being bashed on a message-board somewhere,
rise up to defend him! It's that simple! This is not really an official
club, so there is no need to contact anyone about club-membership or
anything. Just defend Tracey wherever you see him being bashed and you are
a Defender of Tracey!
