Despite the fact that my baby sister can draw better than I do (she was squeezing my neck to force me to say this), I'm gonna make a HOw to draw anime... page!! I started to draw when I wuz like nine or ten... I sucked, no natural talent and all. (Hey what changed? Nuttin) I've been dedicated to anime drawing since watching SM.
To draw bettah, u need a magical pen, YUPZ! Just kidding, u need lots of spare time for practice!!! I see all these fanart online that are so pretty, I am so jealous. I wanna take some computer graphics course to design stuff!
The first step to drawing anime is perfecting their eyes. It's frustrating at first when you make them look spaced out. (Their eyes are not circular!!) Start with the top (where one would apply eyeliner), and make it shaped like a rainbow. Then, draw the bottom, (where one would also apply eyeliner) by making it a straight line with a little curve. Now you have the base!!! Then, choose a color. Eyes should go with the hair color. Blue eyes with blond hair, or black. Purple with jet black hair. Dark or light green with brown or green hair and so on... Anime eyes always have that white space in the middle, strange by it goes!!! Make the white space bigger if you want kawaii cute eyes. Then when you color in the eyes, the top should be darker or lighter than the bottom, depending on how you like it to be!

After the eyes, you should learn how to draw a perfect face. Guys have pointy or squarish faces, girls have beautiful oval visages. Try drawing U's, then add some style! Just don't make the faces too long, then they would make the anime person look like a horse. MORE ON EYES!
When you get the eyes right, everything goes... trust me! Then you can fill in the face and nose, mouth and hair. Eyes turn weird when the anime person feels different emotions. Sad eyes shine with tears, and angry eyes look like a strange V-shaped figure.
The noses are so simple! A dot can be a nose! Cute button noses are prefered by me! I like Sakura's nose. Vegeta has an evil, pointy nose. (MY SISTER has a hawk's beak nose) hehehe... Sailormoon and friends have the average nose (not too big or small). A nose can be a circle, or in the shape of an L! Just remember, the cutest guys look like girls, except they have more defined, longer noses! Be creative or you can look at the examples below!
Hair Time!!! Look at Sakura, she has the messy, yet stylish sort of hair. Stick to the spiky look for guys and the wavy, elegant hair for girls. You can even modify Sailormoon's hair. Bangs make the anime girls look cute! Younger girls have pony or pigtails. Older girls look great with short hair too! And what is anime hair without the shine? Add shine by leaving out some color, as shown below...
Just remember to practice the eyes and the hair. The knights of Magic Knight rayearth have the shiniest hair. Ranma people have puffy thick hair. I love Lilith's (Darkstalkers) hair, short and in style. The best hair style does not have to be long. Look at Sakura's hair, she is mad cute!
