It has been a long time since I last updated, a lot of things have happened. I have been a born-again Christian since July 29,1983 and have recently had a huge wake-up call. The wake-up call is "The Passion of the Christ", sometimes called "The Movie". The wake-up call is that I haven't been bold, in my faith. I've been denying who I am to people. I've decided to share my faith and admit, I'm a follower of Jesus Christ and not to be afraid.
"The Passion of the Christ" is based on the 4 Gospels( Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John), it is based on the last 12 hours of the life of Jesus Christ. Everybody can relate to the people in the Bible. I identify with Peter(also called Simon). Peter denied Jesus, three times and was afraid to admit, who he was, a follower of Jesus Christ( one of the 12 apostles). Peter went on to be courageous, in his faith, and spread the Gospel to all the people. Peter ultimately got persecuted and killed for spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
Jesus says "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life." John 3:16(NIV)
Jesus says "I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life." John 8:12(NIV)
Jesus says " I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." John 14:6(NIV)
Jesus says " If the world hates you, keep in mind that it hated me first. If you belonged to the world, it would love you as its own. As it is, you do not belong to the world, but I have chosen you out of this world. That is why the world hates you." John 15:18-19(NIV)
As Christians we must never forget the price we pay for bearing the cross. We must not be afraid to evangelize. This is the wake-up call of "The Passion of the Christ". I've been reminded of the enormity of His sacrifice, Jesus Christ has made for me, he gave his life for us. I can't keep this to myself any longer. I must share my faith.
