Joe England is the cartoonist who creates Zebra Girl.
Zebra Girl is a serial strip that follows the life of three roommates:
Sandra, Jack, and Crystal. Jack and his sister, Crystal found a old dusty
tome in their attic, that was written in Ancient Sumerian. The book contained
blasphemous secrets of arcane power, which would allow its owner to cast
spells for the first time in many years. Fortunately for Crystal, she
had taken classes in Ancient Sumerian, and as for Jack, he found that
he could easily read the book despite having no knowledge of how to read
the language. Their first fumbling through the book accidentally released
an ancient demon lord called Lord Incubus. Fortunately, Jack was able
to banish Lord Incubus to a different dimension, but in closing the book,
he failed to heed the written warning of not slamming the cover and a
magical energy backlash filled the room. The blast caused some minor changes
to Jack and Crystal, but changed Sandra into a zebra-stripped demon. Since
then, Sandra has tried to patiently wait for Jack to come up with a permanent
way of fixing his mistake, but isn't always able to control her fiery
demon temper. Through the course of his studies, Jack is slowly changing
from a carefree slacker into a jaded wizard who has seen far more than
any mortal should. Crystal, on the other hand, maintains her cheery outlook
on life and much of her previous child-like innocence, despite her desire
to "grow up" as Sandra and Jack seem to done.

Matthew “Xero” Reynolds is the cartoonist
who creates Swordwaltzer. Swordwaltzer is a serial strip that follows
the life of an ex-swordwaltzer named Soujiro Takeshi. Soujiro, or Souji
as his friends call him, was formerly a member of His Majesty’s
Forward Guarde in the Kingdom of Antioch, and a powerful rune-caster.
Souji left the guarde at the request of his wife and longtime childhood
friend, Tessa E'ydridge, because she had a disturbing vision of a powerful
evil force that kills him. Tessa is a rune-caster called a sightslumber
as she always has possessed an uncanny ability to predict the future in
her dreams. Unfortunately for her, she doesn’t predict the future
very well when she is awake, as she needs her dream-like state to allow
her to tap into her powers. Her nightmarish vision becomes more and more
frequent as tension increases between the Kingdom of Antioch and the Nation
State of Turvalis. The two countries have been at war numerous times over
the years, and somewhat recently signed a cease-fire treaty between the
two nations, calling forth a stay to the 87-year old battle. The break
gave the Chancellor General, His High Sovereign Lord Cyrus Corvax of Turvalis
the time he needed to further strengthen his stock of war machines, and
attempt to deal a quick and decisive blow against the Kingdom of Antioch.
Unfortunately for the Chancellor General, His High Sovereign Lord Cyrus
Corvax, his plans have been anticipated, and King Victor Altryma of Sosa,
the ruler of Antioch, has prepared a contingency plan, just in case. |

Betsy Jorgensen and Jena Lombardi are the cartoonists
who create UC. UC is a serial strip that follows the lives of four high
school students: Ikku, Nicodemus, Naim, and Kelsi. Ikku is smart and quick-witted,
and tries to be friends with everyone in the school, even if she doesn't
find them interesting. In grade school, Ikku and Nicodemus were good friends,
but as she became more social, he seemed to become more of an outsider.
This is in part due to Nicodemus's parents having to move all of the time,
and their distant relationship with him. Since he is dressed differently
and does not participate in the normal school circles, he ends up being
beaten up regularly by some of the school jocks. This doesn't mean that
Nicodemus can't defend himself, to the contrary, he possesses a black
belt in a form of martial arts, but due to his outsider status, he is
often blamed for starting any incidents, and therefore finds it easier
to cope with the situations by taking the beatings rather than have his
parents called in for "causing trouble". Ikku and Nicodemus
both like their mutual friend Naim (although getting Nicodemus to admit
it would be difficult), who prefers to observe the world around him silently,
and shares a lot of the same interests that Nicodemus has. Kelsi is a
new student, having just moved to town from Wales, England, and has to
deal with the culture shock of moving to the United States school system
for the first time. She doesn't tolerate people who she feels are idiots,
and prefers to let her first get the last word. Lately, they have started
to notice some strange events unfolding in and around their school, and
suddenly their high school lives have become a lot more interesting, and
a lot more deadly.

Mike Schwark and Ron Kaulfersch are the cartoonists
who create Van Von Huner. Van Von Hunter is a serial strip that follows
the life of a hunter of all things evil named Van Von Hunter (he changed
his name from Vaughn to reflect his job). Van is not really all that bright
when it comes to tactics or determining what is evil or not and usually
has to be told of what something is before he dispatches it. Despite this
lack of mental prowess, he is quite a skilled melee fighter, and can prey
on evil creature's weaknesses very easily. Having saved a young maiden
from a vampire named Count Distain, she decided to accompany Van on his
journey, but never really had the time to introduce herself, as Van has
a habit of going from one dangerous situation to another. Not being accustomed
to the life of a hunter, she has had to learn quickly how to fend for
herself, and is very capable of thinking on her feet. Despite pointing
out flaws in Van's thinking, he still impulsively charges headlong into
dangerous situations, with little regard to tactics or how things will
turn out. During one of their adventures, they released Ariana Rael, a
young sorceress who learned an obscenely powerful spell during a young
age, and was sealed away for her reckless use of it. She has little regard
for others, but accompanies Van on his journey, as it seems like an interesting
thing for her to do with her time. Of course, Van has gained many enemies
during his travels, such as the ruler of Dikay, The Flaming Prince, who
has vowed eternal vengeance against Van for decimating his kingdom.

Owen Dunne is the cartoonist who creates You Damn Kid, The Beevenicks, Norman P. Function, Tommy, and Dizzy. With all of the comics on his web site, there is at least one comic that is updated each day. You Damn Kid is a gag-a-day comic that follows the lives of a family in an average, small town. The family goes through some not-so-average occurrences in their day-to-day life, all to the delight of the natural curiosity of children. The Beevenicks is a gag-a-day strip that follows the life of a dysfunctional family and their day-to-day lives. Norman P. Function is a gag-a-day strip that follows the life of Norman, and his view of society, and his interactions thereof. Tommy is a gag-a-day strip that is currently on hold as the site updates. Tommy follows the lives of Tommy, his dog, and their views on life through their link to the outside world, the television. Dizzy is a gag-a-day strip that is currently on hold as the site updates. Dizzy follows the antics of the kids from You Damn Kid, but in a much more silly comic that doesn't follow the main comic. Owen has good insight into the hypocrisies of society and shows them back to us in a manner in which we can laugh at. He will use intellectual humor from time to time, and most of his comics have a basic point to make, but mainly, they are here to entertain us. |
