Happy Buffy Ranch was founded on September 1, 2000 by Axel and Pamela Heye. The Ranch is a 200 acre Bison Ranch, located in Witter, Arkansas (in the heart of the beautiful Ozark Mountains).Our home overlooks the land. The reason Happy Buffy Ranch is called as such is because we want our Bison to be as happy and feel as free as they possibly can. Although, in the first couple of weeks we kept them in a 2 acre pen. After which we released them onto the 200 acres, this is done so that we could ensure their health and safety.
