This page is devoted mainly to the J-POP band TWO-MIX, as well as the group DoCo. However, any
anime music I like could appear here.
The number of MP3s you will find here will pretty much depend on how much space I can find for
storage of MP3s. I started an account at
Free MP3 Space, but I don't know how good that'll be, because I can't link directly to the
files. I have to link instead to a folder, which can then be accessed by people who have the
password to the share. I may have to do it that way. On the bright side, they gave me 300 MB
of space for MP3s! :)
TWO-MIX
TWO-MIX is a J-POP band consisting of two people: The singer Takayama Minami, and Nagano Shiina
on synthesizer. They have done opening songs for the anime series Gundam Wing, as well as for
Detective Conan. They have also released a lot of J-POP music, as well as songs for other
shows. Takayama Minami, of course, is the woman who does the voice acting for Tendo Nabiki,
and thus the reason why TWO-MIX is one of the featured bands on this website. Of course,
regardless of this fact, TWO-MIX is still a kick-ass band! They were among my favorites even
before I knew the singer was Nabiki. ;)
I have six TWO-MIX songs on my playlist, all of which were downloaded from Phoenixfeather's MP3 Horde, a really great
MP3 site! I highly recommend it. :)
I haven't uploaded all of the MP3s yet, so if you get an error message when you try to download,
you'll know why. ;) It takes me some time to upload these files, so bear with me.
DoCo
DoCo is a five member band of vocalists. The band was named as a slight alteration of CoCo, who
have done songs for the Ranma 1/2 series. DoCo consists of the voice actresses for the Tendo
sisters (Kasumi, Nabiki, and Akane), Ranma-chan, and Shampoo. It is because of Takayama Minami
that DoCo is a featured band on this page. :)
At present, I have only one DoCo MP3, though I have quite a lot of Quicktime Movies of the
various DoCo openings. Unfortunately, Quicktime sucks. Even more unfortunately, I have yet to
find ANY copies of these movies in any format other than Quicktime. I'll keep looking
though. If I can find MPEGs of them, it would be great! :)
Others
I've got a few other MP3s that are currently high on my list of favorites. These MP3s may
change on occasion, as I've got limited space, so I may have to remove an MP3 in order to make
room for another. If I find a place I can store more stuff, I'll keep more here on a permanent
basis.
Performed by Nabiki Tendo (Minami Takayama). It's English translation is something like "I
Like This Night New Year's Best", although the exact translation seems to be different on every
website I visit. It's a cool song, off of the Ranma 1/2 1991 Song Calendar. The album has 12
songs, one for each month. This one, obviously, is the January one. It's also the only one on
the CD sung solely by Nabiki. Unfortunately, I cannot, for the life of me, find any site that
actually has a copy of the lyrics to this song! If anybody knows where I can find the lyrics,
please let me know!
Performed by Minnie May (Araki Kae) of Gunsmith Cats. A rather fast-paced song, and with an
extremely high cuteness factor, so be warned! It's almost on par with songs like 7:00 News
(TOKIO) and Ultra Relax (Sinohara Tomoe). It's also a full 5:24 in length, pretty hefty
compared to a lot of anime/J-Pop music out there. I've been having troubles, as of late,
getting past this song in my playlist... It seems every time it reaches the end of the song,
something just pops and makes me click on Winamp's back button so it can play again. <G>
Performed by Carrot (Shinnosuke Furumoto) and Tira (Megumi
Hayashibara) of Bakuretsu Sorcerer Hunters. This one also suffers the same fate on my
playlist as Do It Minnie May. And since there's only one song between this one and Do It Minnie
May on my playlist, it takes forever to get around that little section of my playlist. ;) This
one is also rather fast-paced, with really good singing by Shinnosuke. Of course, Megumi comes
out great as well, as she always does. :)
