Fateful Confession
| Hitomi Kanzaki: 15 year old
high schooler, track athlete, knows how to read tarot cards (for fun; nothing
too serious) and has basically an average lifestyle. Not like other
characters in anime. Hitomi doesn't have super powers, transformation
skills, doesn't try to destroy the world, take over the world or save the
world either. Just your basic Japanese high school girl. One
day all that went topsy turvy. I mean, she's still 15 years old and
everything but her quiet life went *POOF*. While running at track
practice one sunny day, Hitomi has a vision of a boy standing before her...
and wearing pretty strange clothes, at that! While her physical body
collapses, her mind is taken to another place where she sees pretty much
the darnest things she's ever laid eyes on! It's not every day you
see a city being burned, weird fighting machines battling it out, and an
angel all in the same dream/vision. Later on in the day, after recovering
in the school sick bay ( i think so, anyways), Hitomi's best friend, Yukari,
tells her that Amano, Hitomi's crush, is leaving for college overseas!
Yukari felt that Hitomi should tell Amano about her feelings before it's
too late. Back home, Hitomi does a tarot card reading for her and
Amano. The cards said that there was going to be a distant separation
and to have courage.
The next day, Hitomi plucks up her courage and asked Amano, that if she beat the record of 13 seconds in the 100 meter dash, would her give her her first kiss? Amano accepted the challenge (I suppose you could call it that) and Hitomi got ready to run. Yukari appeared to watch and to encourage. While running, the strange boy Hitomi saw in her vision actually appeared before her! She crashed into him and he kinda shook her off....^. ^; Sorry, i just find that moment kinda funny... Anyways, the boy was a little rude and confused about where he is and thinks that Hitomi, Amano and Yukari are demons from the demon world! (^_^;) Hitomi assures him that they're NOT demons and asks him who he is. He replies that he is Van of Fanelia. He tells them to get away since a land dragon's probably coming too. Then before their very eyes, the air on one end of the field starts to cackle and lightning bolts appear all around that area. The dragon has appeared. Van and the dragon battle for a long time. Hitomi has a vision of Van dying when the dragon launched this sneak attack. She called out to him and thus saved his life, allowing Van to kill the dragon instead. He cut open the dragon's...chest... and drew out this weird pink round thing that looked like a ball of yarn without the visible string lines. Anyhow, Van didn't seem too pleased that he had been saved by a GIRL... he also thought that she had done it to get a reward outta him. Hitomi slapped him across the cheek and said that she just wanted to save his life. (I thought Van looked kinda stunned here...^.^) She started crying and then the pink thing started glowing.... a column of light appeared and Hitomi and Van started floating up into the air, where they disappeared into the heavens. Hitomi and Van are transported to this weird place where Hitomi can see the Earth and the Moon hanging suspended in the night sky! Astounded, to say the least, she asks Van where they are. He replies that they are near the village of Arzas. Hitomi has absolutely no idea where Arzas is, of course, since she is now on the planet of Gaea, a place that Van seems QUIte familiar with. Suddenly wolf howls are heard and we see these white glowing eyes surrounding Van and Hitomi. One of the silhouettes of these wolf/bear/man creatures rears up and growls... |
