Saiyan Saga

This is the first saga in DBZ. It starts out with Goku visiting the Kame House, where Master Roshi, Bulma, Krillin, Oolong, and Puar are. Gohan comes along and meets all of Goku's longtime friends. Raditz then appears on the island, takes Gohan, and locks him up. Goku and Piccolo, although rivals, team up to beat Raditz, and Goku ends up sacrificing himself to hold Raditz in a lock while Piccolo uses his Special Beam Canon attack on both of them. Goku goes up to Other World, and is on Snake Way for quite some time. While sleeping, Goku falls into the H.F.I.L. (Home For Infinite Losers). There he eats some of King Yamma's fruit which makes one not hungry for three months. After escaping from the H.F.I.L., Goku meets Princess Snake, who turns out to be an actual snake. Goku escapes and finally gets to King Kai's planet with 88 days left before the Saiyans arrive on Earth. While this is going on in Other World, Piccolo is training Gohan as hard as he can. First, Gohan is left in the wilderness for survival training. After this, Piccolo restlessly fights Gohan, but develops a soft spot for him. In Kame's Palace, high above the Earth, Krillin, Yamcha, Tien, Chiaotzu, and Yajirobe (the guy who eats and doesn't train) prepare themselves for the Saiyans. Goku realizes when he arrives at King Kai's planet that it has a gravity 10x the amount on Earth because it's so small. First Goku has to catch Bubbles the monkey. After this, Goku must hit Gregory, the bug-like student of King Kai, with an enormously heavy mallet. Finally 88 days are up. By then, Goku has mastered the Kai-o-Ken tecinique and the Spirit Bomb. He leaving King Kai zooming as fast as he can back to King Yamma's palace, where the bridge between the two physical planes are. Master Roshi wishes Goku back as Goku dashes along Snake Way. At last the day arrives. The Saiyans Nappa and Vegeta are on Earth, they first destroy about 20 square miles of a city, then plot out the strongest fighters on Earth (Gohan, Piccolo, Tien, Yamcha, Krillin, and Chiaotzu, but not Goku yet, he's still on Snake Way). They head for Piccolo and Gohan, by far the strongest of the group. Everyone else gathers there, naming it the battlefield. Nappa plants six little green seeds, containing Saibamen, each with a power level of 1,200, equal to that of Raditz. Tien takes the first on, destroying it, and Yamcha takes down the second, but acts cocky and is taken by surprise when the Saibaman gets back up, and kills both Yamcha and itself. Krillin, extremely mad at this occurence, defeats the other four Saibamen in one blow. The final battle begins. Nappa chooses Tien to attack first, and cuts off Tien's forearm with ease. With a gigantic blast forming a neverending pit, Nappa seems to have succeeded in defeating Chiaotzu, but no! Chiaotzu is hanging on Nappa's back and, sacrificing himself to kill Nappa, blows them both up. Nappa however survives the explosion without a scratch, and continues to fight Tien. In a surprise attack Piccolo and Krillin slam Nappa while his back is turned, leaving Gohan for the third move, but in a frenzy of panic, Gohan just hides, for fear of ending up like Chiaotzu (dead), Yamcha (dead), or Tien (severed arm). Both Piccolo and Krillin face Nappa head on as Goku races down Snake Way. They both use the tri-attack, splitting themselves into three Piccolos and three Krillins. Unfortunately, Nappa is strong and slaps them back into themselves. Vegeta then hears Krillin talking about how he wished Goku was there, and Vegeta realizes this is Goku is his Kakarott! Vegeta calls a three hour time out, knowing that a better fight will take place then. Unfortunately, Goku is only able to make it to Earth in the three hours but still has to get to the battle site after getting some Sensu Beans from Master Karin. As he is on his way, Piccolo, Krillin, and Gohan form a plan to grab Nappa's tail, unfortunately however, Vegeta and Nappa have evolved and the tail is no longer a weakness for them. Nappa starts taking Piccolo, Krillin, and Gohan on, and there are a few close calls where Nappa's stupity overpowers him. Suddenly, Piccolo, Krillin, and Gohan sense Goku coming, but Vegeta and Nappa can't without a scouter. Vegeta checks his scouter and, realizing that they are right, becomes very tense, as Goku has a power level of 5,000! Nappa starts to really go at Gohan who responds with a stunning blow. Then Nappa, in an attempt to annihilate Gohan, fires an enormous attack at him, but it is blocked by Piccolo, who sacrifices his life for Gohan, the only friend and person he's ever had or cared about. Gohan promises Piccolo that he will wish him back, and both Piccolo and Kame dissappear, causing the Dragonballs to also vanish, as Kame created them. Nappa then tries to step on Gohan but with no avail, for Goku is there!!! He gives both Krillin and Gohan half a Sensu Bean, having eaten one already. He then takes Nappa on with ease and Nappa feels very taunted. After Nappa loses to Goku, Vegeta destroys Nappa, seeing that there is no use for him anymore. Vegeta then takes Goku on head to head in another place away from people, where Yajirobe watches, too cowardly to fight. Goku and Vegeta seem pretty evenly matched, until Goku sends Vegeta flying away with a Kamehameha Wave. Vegeta, after escaping the blast, realizes that he can't defeat Goku without transforming, so he puts up an Artificial Moon, first created by Goku's father, Bardock, and becomes an Oozaru (a giant were-monkey). Goku tries the Spirit Bomb, but is taken by suprise with an unusual counter-attack by Vegeta. Goku's energy is almost out, but Gohan and Krillin get to the scene in time to make a plan with Yajirobe, who ignores the plan, not willing to lose his life distracting a giant ape. As Gohan tries to disract Vegeta, Krillin uses the Distructo Disc to cut off Vegeta's tail. However, Vegeta senses the disc, and it just misses him. As Vegeta starts the battle with Gohan and Krillin, Yajirobe suddenly runs in and out, cutting off Vegeta's tail!! Vegeta, now at regular size once more, starts fighting Gohan. In the meantime, Goku gives his energy to Krillin for the Spirit Bomb, and both Goku and King Kai tell Krillin how to control it, for it seems the last hope for Earth. Krillin throws the Spirit Bomb, but Vegeta just dodges it, leaving it heading straight towards Gohan, who rebounds it (for only those with evil in their heart can be hit by the Spirit Bomb) towards Vegeta, sending him up, up, and away into the clouds, seeming to have been destroyed in the enormous energy blast, but falls back to Earth, greatly damaged, to find that Gohan's tail had grown back, before Vegeta had time to cut it off, Gohan had seen the Artificial Moon and became an Oozaru. As Gohan reaked havoc, Goku tried to get into his thoughts, and finally succeeded. He got Gohan to aim his attacks at only Vegeta, but Vegeta, using a disc similar to the Distructo Disc, cut Gohan's tail off, but squishing himself in the process. By now Vegeta had had enough and called for a Saiyan Ship to pick him up. Krillin had the chance to kill Vegeta, but Goku told him no, that he shouldn't sink down to Vegeta's level, to show him that they're better than that. It took him a while, but Krillin finally put Yajirobe's sword down, and allowed Vegeta to escape...
