Wakaba acts as his connection to the academy so that he may be kept abreast of the goings on of the Student Council. During this time, the two of them both seem genuinely happy and it appears that they may eventually confess their secret feelings for each other. Unfortunately, Mikage locates Saionji's whereabouts and makes him an offer he can't refuse: his readmission into the academy for a simple hairclip that he was originally making for Wakaba to repay her kindness. The deal is done, but when Wakaba sees that hairclip on Anshi, she attends the Mikage Seminar in her grief. Her duel is known as "Limit."
