To control them, he sealed them into cards and locked them away in the Book of Clow. That book had remained hidden until Aiden Avalon, Sakura's father, and his archeological team unearthed this book. It remained in his basement, among other books until Sakura accidentally unleashed their might...and thus, her journey as a CardCaptor began.
