Edea is a Sorceress that is being controled by Ultimacea. Once, she was the Matron of an orphanage for children. Squall and his friends came from this orphanage several years ago. Edea has been a sorceress since childhood. She explains that for a sorceress to die in peace, she must pass on her powers to another. However, her powers allowed Ultimecia to control her.
