Li is Sakura's friend and classmate. He is her rival in the beginning, or at least he viewed it that way. He is a direct descendent from Clow Reed himslef, so Li felt that he was supposed to become the Master of the Clow Cards. Now, he protects Sakura through her adventures and challenges. He likes her so much, when Eriol (Clow Reed's reincarnation) befriended her, Li got jealous.
