The sorceress Adel once ruled Esthar with an iron grip. At that time, the world was on the verge of war. Adel was trying to take over. She had decided to choose Ellone to be her successor. Ellone was brought to Esthar from Edea's orphanage. When Laguna was in Esthar searching for Ellone, he helped trick Adel into the Sorceress' Memorial and had her sealed away on the moon.
