Prologue

 

          Squall sat behind his desk on the third floor of Balamb Garden.  He just spoke with Laguna and before him, Edea.  It was a troublesome time right now.  Just the year before, he and his friends were fighting the Sorceress Ultimecia to save the world.  Now, Esthar is in ruins and Adel is back, more powerful than ever.  Her power threatens the world now, as it did before Laguna had sealed her away eighteen years ago.  He called Rinoa to the office.  Moments later, she walked in and received a silent welcome from Squall.  She could tell that something was bothering the new headmaster.

 

“Squall?  What’s wrong?”

 

“I need you to gather the others…please find them quickly and have them meet back here.”

 

“Okay…but what is going on?”

 

“Adel is back…”
