Welcome to Diamond Head Mastiffs. My name is Tony Holland and I live in Arkansas. I bought my first mastiff in 1993 and named him Samson. I had no plans of breeding or showing mastiffs at that time. I just had always wanted a Mastiff and finally after a long search, luckily found Samson. After attending some dog shows as a spectator, I quickly changed my mind about showing and started to work on my handling skills and the rest as they say, is history. Samson quickly became my first champion and I was never more proud than when he won 1st place "Open Dog (Fawn)" at the 1995 Mastiff Club of America National Dog Show in only our 4th show ever. Talk about beginner's luck! Since then, I have attended three more MCOA National Specialties and placed in those as well. In 1999 my boy Oscar won 4th place in the "American Bred Dog" category, in 2000, I am proud to announce my boy Judge came in 1st place in the "12-18 month Dog" class in only his 3rd show ever at 14 months old and at this year's Specialty my "Zeb" took 2nd in the Puppy Match. Five Mastiffs currently share their home with me. They are Judge, Oscar, Tara, Vicki and Lil Bit. All of them are valued family members with lots of love to give to anyone who wants it. They have the run of the house and sleep where they want, when they want. I do not have a kennel and they have a large fenced in area that they stay in for exercise. My breeding philosophy is simple. I want to breed the best dogs that can contribute to the betterment of our breed. I want to breed dogs that not only meet or exceed the breed standard, but most importantly dogs that are sound and that have excellent temperaments to go with all that size. The quality of my dogs, not the quantity, is the most important. I do not breed often so when I do I want to make it count. My dogs have their hips, elbows, patella's, heart, eyes and thyroid tested before breeding. All puppies come with a written health guarantee. Stud service is available to approved bitches.
