After England's game against Sweden, where Freddy was man of the match, a whole host of top clubs around Europe became interested, but Wenger acted very quickly and snapped him up for a mere £3 million. Described by some as the fastest player in the world on the ball, Ljungberg scored on his debut against Man united, just minuets after coming on.
Will find it hard to get in the first team at the moment but he is still very young at 21. A definite star for the future. At first i thought the number eight shirt would never look right on anyone but Wrighty, but with Ljungberg scoring on his debut i think he is a worthy replacement.
