WELCOME TO MPD FOR WE

This is a beginning, a place where I share with you I am, who we are. Please take what fits for you, and leave the rest. I have always known that I was different, that I had to involve myself in a public lie for the comfort of others. I am an honest person, so to this day lying about who we are to find acceptance is very difficult. The world is simply not willing yet, to accept the differences in all of us. Everyone has a story. As Multiple Personalities we are not unique in that sense, but we are magically unique in that we have adapted phenomenally to what harms and maims the body & the spirit.

I am coming to believe that we may have been born as we are, in preparation for dealing with damaging childhood experiences. Many believe that trauma creates Multiplicity, perhaps this is so. We are then, miraculous vessels of self-protection and healing. The problem is that we often cannot control the whims of the many parts of ourselves, each triggered by different things in our lives. We begin to unravel to a degree until we understand that all are welcome within, all of our parts are so important and so loved.

I cannot and will not believe that any one part of us is more special or valuable that another. We are perfectly ordered and miraculous just as we are. I would not sacrifice a single part of myself to serve the need of frightened counsellors, to "integrate" us. We are a collective, we are sadly misunderstood by the professional healers. There are those who truly understand, and work toward acceptance. I applaud their efforts. However, there are those who would change us, rather than allowing change to be an evolution within us, for the benefit of our collective whole.

We are sooo special, so WHOLE, we're just different. Our story provides certain lessons & challenges. We are not always up to the demands of the challenges. Sometimes we are weary or depressed, (some of us are Bipolar as well), some of us have minor arthritis, some of us find the struggle to find a serene place utterly exhausting. All of us believe in The Divine, the all knowing and completely loving entity that we believe guides us all. Even on a confusing day where the parts of me are vying for control, we know we are loved.

We know that we chose this life, we chose our parents, we chose to experience all the joy, all the pain , all the teachings in this life. God and I sat down, chatted with great gentleness and love, and decided together that being born an MP would further my understanding of myselves. That being MP is a gift.

I am intelligent, talented, warm, loving, I have a short fuse at times, I am a recovering co-dependent, I am recovering from substance abuse. I am a daughter, a mother of 2 beautiful children. These things define how we are evolving, but they are not all that we are.

Wihin us are children, teenagers, a mother/parent, adults of many descriptions who serve many needs in our life, we have old, wise ones, males, females, some pre-verbal, some who are gentle and cry at every sad or joyous thing (and every emotion in between), some who carry intense rage, and there are the protectors.

I have discovered that the collective we is wise and strong. I am learning to trust in our "we-ness". To celebrate us. I hope you find your place of trust within your collective.That all of your people lead you to self-acceptance and a deep serenity. I wish this for myselves too. A wish is a prayer given to the universe. The universe is simply the expression of the Divine's profound and total love for us all.

What I believe is that all paths, all beliefs, all religions lead to one Higher Being. Whatever we call the Source of such love is immaterial. We can get there from here. That love is waiting for us to believe in It. Remember that we are all forgiven for every mistake, every negative action, every misstep before they happen. WE ARE LOVED. In the case of multiplicity, we may are many beings sharing one human body, therefore we have the opportunity for access to even more love.

Each part of us is treasured, perhaps we can learn to treasure ourselves too. This love comes on many levels for MP's, there are very old parts of us that understand the ancient mysteries. We are so close to the Source if we can simply recognize our connection with It. We are such wondrous beings within beings.
