Welcome to "Same Script, Different Cast [The Site]". I got the title from the hit Deborah Cox & Whitney Houston song. Yeah I'm wondering how does that apply to La Tavia Roberson, Le Toya Luckett, and Farrah Franklin. Easily, Farrah endured they same problems as La Tavia and Le Toya did, but at different times. Now you get? Coo! If you do. Sorry :( if you don't. ~Webmistress~ Sky

As the group was in the midst of promoting its hit album "The Writing's On The Wall," the revamped Destiny's Child has been forced to circle its wagons after two former members of the group filed a lawsuit against Destiny's Child and their manager.

Former group members LeToya Luckett and LaTavia Roberson filed a suit against current (and founding) Destiny's Child members Beyoncé Knowles and Kelly Rowland as well as the group's manager, Matthew Knowles (who is also the father of Beyoncé and the legal guardian of Rowland). LeToya and LaTavia charge their former counterparts with breach of partnership duties and breach of fiduciary duties, and seek unspecified damages.

he lawsuit was filed in Harris County District Court in Texas, and charges that Rowland and Matthew and Beyoncé Knowles "went on a rampage to destroy LeToya and LaTavia and their careers." The suit also charges that the group and its manager willfully made LeToya and LaTavia unaware of appearances in an effort to bring in new members Franklin and Williams, who are also named as defendants. Specifically, the suit alleges that the group conspired to keep LeToya and LaTavia away from the Grammy Awards and the Soul Train Awards (where Franklin and Williams performed with the group).

The suit also claims that the group's statement that LeToya and LaTavia left over "creative differences" is false, noting that the singers "have not withdrawn from Destiny's Child despite [the] defendants' wrongful and malicious efforts to force them to do so."

In an interview with MTV News, LeToya and LaTavia stressed that they had no intention of leaving the group, but did want to "disaffirm" their management deal with Knowles (which they attempted to do in December of last year).

LeToya and LaTavia save their most scathing accusations for their former manager, who the singers charge "despite his lack of [music business] experience, also insisted on compensation terms far more favorable to him than those usually available in the industry."

The singers claim that as a result of these "greedy" tactics, Knowles "made money from the girls while the girls themselves made virtually no money." The suit also charges that Knowles also "tried to gain complete control over" LeToya and urged her to accept him as her legal guardian.

LeToya and LaTavia could not discuss their specific grievances with MTV News due to the impending litigation.
