Hello, my name is Chad Chastain. That's me on the right, the guy (yes I'm a guy). The girl is Ellen Smith, my wife. Cutie huh? I'm 20, I live in Conway Arkansas, home of UCA, Hendrix, and nothing else. Here is the long and drawn out story about how I wanted to make this site for you. So read and be amazed. Ooohhhhh!

I was born in Atlanta Georgia and raised right outside the city, so I was used to the big city and cool state life. Because of my parents' divorce, I was forced to move to Arkansas in the summer of 1995. At first, I hated this state and thought that there was nothing here for a kid like me. I was into punk, hardcore, and basically music all together. After a few runs at rehab, and later a few bands of totally different styles of music, I noticed that no one would ever find out what all was in Arkansas, so I would have to make them know. People didn't know about other bands in there own state, like me, and I wanted to help all the bands, and other people that cared, to learn that Arkansas has more to offer than nothing. I found a few Arkansas bands web sites, their links, and those sites links, and so on. Eventually I had enough information that I decided to make a web site, since I was just learning how. Well, I graduated from high school in Conway and recently graduated from the Recording Workshop in Ohio. I'm proabably moving to Tampa, FL or somewhere in Atlanta, Georgia to become a recording engineer at a studio or television station. Yes, I'm leaving Arkansas, but I like moving around, and I hate Arkansas (sorry). I also have a wife, sorry ladies, please don't cry. Her name is Ellen Smith (not like the Elementary School in Conway), we've been together for a year and a half now, and things are going great. I am finaly getting my life together, and now, after about a year of ArkanSuck, and people actually using it for its purpose, it has grown to what it is today, and still going. I do this totally for free and have yet to make a dime off of this. I only want to spread the word of Arkansas music to others so that it will one day be a good place to live for musical people. I'm very pleased with the way things are going, and am actually thinking of making this a DOT COM! But don't get too excited. So please quit reading about me and enjoy the site. Here is a list of all the bands I have been in and what I did in each: Level 3 (vocals/guitar), Orphan Bob (vocals/guitar), Double Negative (vocals), All About Girls (guitar/vocals/drums), Mable Star (guitar/bg vocals), H-Bomb Sushi (guitar for one day), No One Cares (lasted about 2 weeks) (bass/vocals), ITE (drums/bg vocals), The Westing Game (bass for one day), Attica Prison Riot (previously The Scum, guitar/vocals), and now Skyline Drive (guitar/vocals).

Members of Skyline Drive are Josh Blackstock (guitar/keyboards), Dustin Crusetuner (bass/guitar/vocals), Me (guitar/vocals/drums/bass), and David Dobbs (drums/bass/vocals). We are currently writing and preparing for shows.

Also, I took part in a musical project in Ohio while I was at the Recording Workshop, we called it Jen and the Men. The line up changed a few times, but it ended up with me on drums, Mat Peluso (from Welton in Fort Smith) on guitar and bass, and Jen Collier (from Kalamazoo, MI) on piano and vocals. I will post the song soon. If you like Tori Amos or stuff like that, you may like it.
