Do you recall the address of 213 Elm Street from anywhere??? Well, that's the address where I grew up... but not in any movie! This has nothing to do with Freddy Kruger. Even though I did have a few nightmares on (our) Elm Street, this is REAL life!!!
However...there is one thing the two have in common: a supernatural force at work. I grew up with a "poltergeist" type ghost, who has been with our family for generations. This particular ghost is very protective of my family members, for at one time she was the caretaker of all the children in my ancestor's family. As the children grew up and established their lives, Tillymae stayed in our home town and claimed her guardianship over those descendants who chose to remain here.
As of now, I am a 35 year old mother of two...married for 16 years. And even though I have moved FOUR times in the same town, Tilly Mae has always followed me! No matter where I go, she always follows. Now that I have children of my own, she continues to enjoy her position of watching over us. Quite frequently, she shows off for the kids in our neighborhood (which she most evidently enjoys)....and which always delights my children all the more due to her mischevious antics!
Doors open in front of you, or they shut behind you; lights and/or the tv go off or on; cool breezes blow across the room...raising the little hairs on your neck; and at least on three occasions, I can proclaim that "would-be" burglars have been scared away - kicking, screaming, and exclaiming to our local police department that some "THING" was chasing after them!Believe me, she's REAL...and she's HERE!!! She is our "blessing in disguise". Each night I am thankful for her wonderous presence in our home. This site is our simple testimony to her, in appreciation for her LOVE, her GUARDIANSHIP, and her extremely profound SENSE OF HUMOR!!!
